About PABA / Join PABA
The Public Access Bar Association represents
and promotes the interests of barristers who accept instructions directly from the public, businesses
and organisations. Since the public access scheme was introduced in 2004 over 5,000 barristers have undertaken BSB approved training courses to accept direct instructions.
PABA organises seminars (free to PABA members) which are designed to help public access practitioners comply with their CPD requirements.
PABA members are emailed regular newsletters informing them of relevant developments.
Members are entitled to declare PABA membership on their websites and promotional material. / Membership of PABA is open to any barrister who accepts public access instructions.
Associate membership is available to clerks, chambers administrators and others who want to support the work of PABA.
