Speaker 2: David Bunn: The Princeton Review
-The Princeton Review can help with the GRE and graduate admissions
-Schools vary a lot, so make sure you do your research!
-Admissions cycle, what percent of applicants are accepted, how many last
year, GRE score cutoffs, etc.
-The GRE is evolving
-New types of questions
-Starting October 1st these questions will count
-The test is approximately $100 and offered on a rolling basis
-Scores are typically good for 5 years
-Take the test as soon as you have time!
-Right now it is shorter, less expensive, and more convenient than it
probably will be in the future
-Don’t wait until you are out of “school mode”
-Format: Computer adaptive testing strategy
-The test changes for everyone, depending upon which questions you get
right and wrong
-Some general test taking strategies:
-Scrap paper is your friend
-This applies to both the math AND verbal sections
-No more than 10 seconds or less per answer choice
-Don’t over-think
-Spend time on a problem only IF you have to
