Summit100 Business Leaders of Southeast Europe started

Aranđelovac, October 06, 2011 – the Summit100 Business Leaders of Southeast Europe, titled “Agreement for New Age”, has been opened in the Izvor Hotel in Aranđelovac. This three-day event will include six panel discussions on regional cooperation, energy, infrastructure development and potential joint appearance of companies from the Balkans at third markets. The Summit is jointly organised by the Serbian Association of Managers, Croatian Association of Employers and Slovenian Association of Managers.

On the first Summit100 day, following an introductory speech of the Chairman of the Executive Board of Hypo Alpe Adria Group, Gottwald Kranebitter, a panel titled “Agreement for New Age” was organised, with participants including Presidents of Serbia and Slovenia, Boris Tadić and Danilo Turk, respectively, Bojan Radun, CEO of Nectar and President of the Serbian Association of Managers, Ivan Ergović, President of Nexe Group and President of the Croatian Association of Employers, and Dejan Turk, President of SI.mobil and President of the Association of Managers of Slovenia.

The panel participants opened the Summit by discussing future steps in achieving a high-quality dialogue between business and politics of the region in regard to creating a sustainable vision of the region for the new, more competitive age.

A discussion at the second panel was focused on the “Competitiveness in the current global economy – how to establish constructive dialogue with the governments to position the region?“, which included Erik Berglof, Chief Economist and Special Advisor to the President of the EBRD, Dario Scannapieco, Vice President for Western Balkans of the EIB, and Božidar Đelić, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, with Kori Udovički, UN Assistant Secretary-General as moderator.

The Serbian Association of Managers was established in Belgrade in 2006, as a non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organisation.
