Subject line: Staff using their own mobiles for work? A security nightmare…

Hi Name,

80% of businesses are now using cloud computing software, and for many that means allowing staff to use their own personal mobile devices to send emails and access important documents.

While that’s great for morale and productivity, it might not always be so good for the security of your business. The loss of data is a very real problem for modern businesses, with hackers always looking for a way in.

If your data ends up in the wrong hands, you’re at risk of losing money, productivity and your reputation.

So how do you give your team members the flexibility of using their own trusted devices and working from home without putting your company and customers at risk?

The answer: A solid, secure network and a comprehensive Bring Your Own Device policy.

We’ve created a short video telling you what to look out for, which you can see by clicking on this link.

Hi Name,

Have you heard about The Internet of Things? Not got the faintest idea what it’s all about?
That’s ok. You’re not alone.

The Internet of Things is a concept that’s all about connecting people and devices through the powerful medium of the world wide web. It allows you to perform a huge range of tasks from the comfort of, well, anywhere really (as long as you have an internet connection of course!) at just the touch of a button.

The tech world is full of all sorts of weird, wonderful and bizarre terms that us IT professionals know all about, but we also understand that it’s not so easy if computers aren’t your bread and butter.

That’s why we’ve put together this handy guide to help you get to the bottom of The Internet of Things and see how it can work for your business.

Subject line: IT issues getting you down? Let us help

Hi Name,

Here at (insert company name) we love all things IT. That means we’re rarely seen without a shiny device in our hands and like to keep on top of what’s going on in the world of computers.

Because we’re tech savvy, we’re able to be super productive and know exactly what to do if things go wrong. But that doesn’t mean we don’t understand how frustrating it can be when you’ve got a sluggish IT system and you don’t know how to fix it.

That’s why we like to share our skills and knowledge to make life easier for those who don’t find it quite so straightforward.

Here’s a scary statistic for you… data loss and downtime costs the UK alone over £10.5 Billion a year. And it’s not just about the financial costs either; there’s also staff morale and your reputation to think about too.

We’re not here to scare you – quite the opposite. We’re just here to let you know that from security and data protection to making your network run like clockwork, we’ve got your back.

We’ve already made a short video about how to stay safe when staff are using their own mobiles for work, which you can watch here.

Subject line: Your phone is killing your home life. And it’s getting worse

Hi Name,

Remember the good old days when you went home at 5pm and didn’t have to do any work until the following morning? When if you wanted to speak to someone you had to pick up an old fashioned phone plugged in at the wall?

Me too. Makes you feel ancient, doesn’t it?

These days we’re all so busy looking at our phones that we sometimes forget how to communicate with people in real life. And with many of us now connected to our work emails 24/7, there’s hardly any time to switch off.

If you’re finding IT is taking over your life, be kind to yourself. Take a walk barefoot in the park, get some exercise, spend quality time with the people you love. Wow, this all sounds a little bit on the hippy side for a bunch of IT guys doesn’t it?

If your team are working in the cloud and accessing their emails remotely, it’s a really good idea to have a Bring Your Own Device policy. This is really a win/win situation for both of you- it allows you to keep your data safe, and protects your staff from getting burnt out and stressed.

If you want to find out more we’ve made a short video which you can see here. It’s a brief introduction to data protection and keeping your people and things safe.
