Projects That Require Rehearsal Space And/Orresources!

Hello professors who are assigning

projects that require rehearsal space and/orresources!

If you have assigned projects that require rehearsal spaces and/or department resources such as costuming, props, and set pieces/dressing, please email a roster of names with CIN numbers to Brittany Mejia in the TAD Main office(TA 110) and copy the Chair. Please let Brittany know what rooms the students should be able to access and for which project/class.

This roster will also serve as approval for students to borrow department materials so there is no need to send approval emails or sign any forms.

Students should go to Brittany in TA110 to have their Cal State LA ID scanned so they can be entered into the system. Once scanned and in the system, the student may request space through GOTSPACEMTD. When they reserve a space, their ID will be made active able to open the Omni lock on the door of the assigned space(s).

ID cards will only be made active for students that have reserved a space.

Space will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Rooms that are available for use are: MUS 101 (Arena), MUS 115, King Hall Dance studios. There are a few other spaces that are used for small rehearsals that will be suggested if nothing else is available – dressing rooms and lobby.

If you have assigned projects that require the use or borrowing of lighting, audio, scenic, or props, please email Elizabeth Pietrzak () to set up a time for her and/or Bruce, Tim, and Rico, to come and speak to the students about the appropriate use of the equipment and the procedures for borrowing items from stock.

We are not able to meet with students on a one by one basis to explain proper equipment use or borrowing procedures.

Students will only be seen by appointment to borrow materials. Please give your students a copy of the "How to..." Sheet attached.

Appointment will be made at the following times:

Mondays 12pm-2pm

Thursdays 10am-12pm or 4pm-5pm

When scheduling an appointment include your name, class, and a brief summary of what you are looking for; the department may not have or be able to lend you what you seek and it is just easier if we know in advance.
