Terrific 12 – Medieval Times!

Directions: Choose any combination of the projects below to add up to 12 points. All groups must have a project for each of the following: Medieval Europe, Asia and Africa. All projects must be neatly done and colored. You can work by yourself or with a Partner- (Meaning one other person) to create a combination of projects that totals 12 points. You will have 5 days plus the weekend to complete the project! Most work should be able to be completed in class. Any materials such as poster board will have to be supplied by you. We have colored pencils, markers and crayons for you to utilize. Manage your time wisely to make sure the project is completed on time.

Pick any of the Medieval Ages Civilizations and Write 2 journal entries of two paragraphs each that describe what your life is like in that time period. You must include your social status, what you do and whom you interact with.
(Worth 5 Points) / Create a Timeline of Events that shows the overlap of each of the Medieval Time Periods. Then create 4 specific timeline questions to go along with your timeline.
(Worth 2 points) / Create a Biography of 2 of the following people from the Medieval Time Period: Charlemagne, Mansa Musa, Queen Dahia al-Kahina
Include: who, For what they are known, when they lived, where they lived, and why that person was important or influential

Create a map of a Medieval Civilization that details any natural boundaries, Economic resources for trading, water supply and food sources.
(Worth 3 points) / Create a Social Class poster detailing any of the Middle Ages Groups we discussed. Make sure it is detailed to describe each level of their social structure and how the social classes interacted.
(Worth 2 point) / Create an Instagram on any of the GRAPES of a Medieval Group we covered. You must include a hashtag and a 4 sentence description of the item you are discussing. For example: In Europe – Manor -falls under social classes as it is a House with lots of land for a noble.
All INSTAGRAMS Must be in color to receive full points.
(Worth 3 points)
Create a chart/poster/web that details the major points behind the Medieval Religions we discussed so far.
(Worth 3 points) / Create a Medieval Cross word puzzle using your vocabulary for the units. Must include clues to answer the puzzle must include an answer sheet as well.

(Worth 4 points) / Create an 8-10 panel comic strip/ storyboard that details the start of Medieval Europe to include the GRAPES of the Civilization. Geography, Religions, Achievements, Politics, Economy and Social Structure/Classes. It must be detailed, neatly drawn, neatly colored and written. This is for those who REALLY like to draw! Must be drawn, colored and handed in on time to receive full points.

Project Schedule for Terrific 12 – Medieval Times!

Day 1: Introduction of project to the class and choose partners. Go over the rubric and student questions

SELECT THE PROJECTS - each person must choose different projects to total 12 points.

Day 2: Work on the research you will need to complete your projects

Day 3-5: Complete your projects. If for some reason you feel you will not be able to complete your project in

class before Thursday make sure you work on it at home.

You will be graded on how well you work in class as well as the completed projects.
