Project Team Member Performance Feedback Tool

Whatit is

The Project Team Member Performance Feedback Tool is an easy way to solicit performance feedback on a project team member’s performance. This is another version of performance feedback.

Why it’s useful

Project team members are best equipped to act on performance issues when feedback is received in an honest and timely fashion. Ideally, performance feedback should be shared with project team members within 30 days of project closure. This allows the project team member to act on the feedback received before his or her next project assignment.

Howto use it

Once the project closes, the project team member’s functional manager sends the feedback tool to the project manager, other project team members, and anyone else who was directly associated with the project activities and/or project results and who is capable of providing performance feedback.

The functional manager collects and analyzes the feedback received and informs the project team member of the feedback, along with suggested tactics on how to improve in the areas noted as needing improvement. The feedback results allow for a rich discussion between the functional manager and the project team member, so the project team member is well equipped with real-time feedback information that is actionable.
