Overview
•Matchinggrantsofupto$6,000that support high-qualityarts/cultural experienceswhere children/youthareactively involvedinskill acquisitionordirect participation.Matchmay becashand/orin-kind.
•Any501(c)(3)youthservingorganizations,schools, tribal organizations,librariesand other arts/cultural organizationsareeligible
•Projectsmayrequest multi-year fundingbut must submit anewgrant application annuallyshowingdecreasingamountsof requestedfunds
•Eligibleprogramsprovide regularlyscheduledsessionsoveranextendedperiodoftime outside theregularschool dayoryear.
•Funds maybeusedfor direct costsof theproposedproject includingartistfees, supplies,rehearsal space, facilityrent, etc.
•Funds maynotbeusedtosupplant resources inexistingprograms,forinstructor salaries, re-granting, scholarshipsor tuitionassistance,prizesorawardsor for fundraisingorbenefitactivities.

Grant recipientsmustsubmitafinalreport that includesadescriptionofwhatstudents saw/andexperienced,howmanystudentsparticipated, thestudentsreactionsand
perceivedoutcomesandhowthemoneywasspent.
Grantpaymentwill bemadeafter asignedgrant awardletter hasbeenreceivedbythe
AlaskaStateCouncil ontheArts.
