Progress Industries, P.I. Foundation announces board officers, trustees
Progress Industries and the P.I. Foundation recently announced board officers and trustees for 2013-2014.
“We are very fortunate to have an exceptional group of leaders serving on the Progress Industries and P.I. Foundation Boards,” said Dan Skokan, president and CEO for Progress Industries and the P.I. Foundation. “This group plays a central role in guiding our future, furthering our mission, developing policies and providing careful oversight of our finances. We have a culture of high ethical standards and transparency, which is imperative in today’s nonprofit environment.”
Progress Industries board officers are as follows: chair Tod Hockenson, vice president of distribution for Hy-Vee Inc. in Chariton; vice chair Andrew J. Flynn, president and CEO of Flynn Wright Advertising in Des Moines; treasurer Rob M. Kahn, vice president of commercial lending for First Newton National Bank in Newton; secretary GeorgAnne Talsma, office manager for I-80 Farms in Colfax; and Dan Skokan serving as president, CEO and assistant secretary.
Progress Industries trustees: Ron Dlouhy, corporate controller for Engineering Plastic Components in Grinnell; Nancy LeBlanc, retired financial advisor for Edward Jones Investments in Newton; Jim L. Long, president and CEO of Cline Tool in Newton; Jim A. Merulla, store director of Marshalltown Hy-Vee Drugstore; Noreen F. Otto, director of state government relations for the Hy-Vee Corporation in West Des Moines; Loretta J. Sieman, owner of LJS Consulting in Clive.

Progress Industries, established in 1979, is an independent nonprofit organization that provides residential, vocational and day habilitation programs for central Iowans with physical and intellectual disabilities.
