PROGRAMME SPECIFIC & COURSE SPECIFIC OUTCOME

MANGALDAI COLLEGE

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOME

1. during the study period of B.Sc physics major clears students get opportunity to familiarize with different categories of electronic components such as diodes, transistors, resistors, capacitors, inductors, ICs etc. Students also get sufficient knowledge regarding their safe use in preparing an electronic circuit with proper soldering. For save assembling of electronic circuit students are taught by maximum power transformer theorem under the subject title of “Network Theorem”. Sufficient knowledge on these topic is acquired by the students in theory as well as in practice under the different project work conducted in the period of sixth semester.

Apart from this students become familiar with some mechanical measurement such as small modules, which also helps them for acquiring proper mechanical skill. These measurement also helps in making proper soldering in the electronic/ electrical circuit with mechanical device by conserving electrical energy. It also helps in understanding of analog computational measurements.

2.By proper understanding maximum power transfer theorem, students get sufficient expertise to connect proper load in the circuit to conserve electric energy or less amount of electrical power dissipation. It also helps them for designing energy efficient different electronic circuit for day to day use.

3. Under the scope of physics major course syllabus the students are taught by different functions of a digital computer in theory classes as well as in practical classes. They get sufficient opportunity to learn different type of operating system such as UBUNTU, WINDOWS etc. Students acquire sufficient knowledge in typing, drawing, graph and different types of calculation using Ubuntu and Micro Soft Office.

Besides learning this they also get sufficient knowledge on high level languages such as BASIC, FORTRAN, C, C++ etc. Presently in the physics department students get sufficient theoretical as well as practical knowledge on programming by C language. It also helps them in developing professional skill in developing or designing different types of software for different purposes.
