IMPORTANT REMINDERS

¨  Submit the original and 8 copies of this funding request to Serena Fuson, Sacramento Hall 272, Campus Zip 6038.

¨  The application must be typed.

¨  Not all programs or all components of a program may receive funding.

¨  Since the IRA Committee may consider funding for specific components of your proposal, please indicate those events, activities and program components that are your top priorities.

¨  IRA Policies stipulate that funds:

- may not be used for direct support for classroom instruction—including support of equipment purchases,

operating expenses, teaching salaries and facilities.

- may not to be used for food for receptions

- may not to be used for department operations, including faculty/staff salaries and benefits

- may cover such things as student travel, lodging, meals and materials necessary to achieve the objective of the program.

¨  Applicants will be required to meet with the IRA Committee to present their proposals.

2. Briefly describe the program/organization for which you are requesting funds and how the proposed activities relate to the IRA Guidelines and Priorities.

3. Describe the benefit to students and any impact your activity will have on the students involved and/or the community as a whole. Please be as specific as possible when referencing the number of students and faculty that may be directly or indirectly involved. Please also describe how the funded activities will support the goals of the University Strategic Plan.
