  1. Expected Support for Educational Expenses

Use this list to estimate what your annual income and sponsorship will be while attending BiolaUniversity.

  • The total of your financial support for each year (from whatever combination of sources), should equal, or be as close as possible, to the estimated yearly total expenses for your chosen program.
  • Complete this chart with the amount of years appropriate to your field of study. Typically, it takes 4 years to complete a bachelors degree.
  • Remember that the maximum award for financial aid does not normally exceed one-half of the cost of tuition and is typically less than half. The average international grant for the first year ranges from $1,000 to $3,000. Therefore, your sponsor(s) must provide one half or more of the tuition costs plus the expenses for room and board. Biola University is unable to assist applicants in finding sponsors.
  • Your total expenses will rise at approximately 5-7% per year. Thus, your tuition costs should increase each year accordingly.
  • Your total expenses for the first year should include travel expenses from your home country and return costs as appropriate.
