Dear BCARES member:1/5/2015

Another amazing year has come and gone, and BCARES is as strong as ever thanks to your volunteer efforts. BCARES and the benefits that it offers the community would cease to exist were it not for members like you! BCARES accomplished several extraordinary tasks in 2013. We all have a lot to be proud of and much to look forward to.

This year’s annual meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 26th, 2014. Early activities will start at 5:30PM in the Clerkand Recorder Building at 1750 33rd Street, Boulder - in the Houston Room on the first floor. The 146.76 RMVHFS repeater will be available for talk-in and to answer any questions. We will provide finger foods and some refreshments as people gather. There will be displays and perhaps a demonstration. We would really appreciate everyone’s attendance at this important gathering. The formal part of the meeting will be called to order at 6:00 PM. Even if you must arrive late, please plan to attend.

The tentative agenda for the annual meeting is attached and will include an important guest speaker or speakers. We have much to report to the membership. 2014 was a very eventful year for BCARES. For those who have not participated before, the annual meeting is also where we vote for the Board positions that are up for election. Once the Board is formed, the directors will convene at a later date and elect the officer positions (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary) in accordance with BCARES bylaws.

It is important to vote for people who can effectively represent and manage BCARES. Your vote isvery important. Please take the opportunity to have your voice heard. By working together and performing as a team, BCARES will remain a healthy and helpfulorganization well into the future. We look forward to everyone’s participation and assistance in the coming year. We really value everyone’s contribution: an expectation and necessity of BCARES membership.

Please don’t forget that the weekly BCARES net meets each Monday evening at 8:00 PM local time on the 146.760- (100.0 Hz tone) WØIA, RMVHFS repeater (January 27thexcepted). This net is your opportunity to find out about BCARES activities in particular and local amateur radio activities in general. Please feel free to post club or other ham related information on the net. This is a friendly net and questions and visitors or newcomers are always welcome.

Thanks again for everyone’s efforts this past year, and I look forward to seeing you at the annual meeting. Thank you.
