Ⅰ. Background of the symposium and the docking meeting about supply and demand
According to the deployment of Chinese government, great efforts are being made to build an all-directional and multi-level inland open platform with a wide range of fields in Chongqing for the purpose of improving the inland openness level in an all-round way. In 2012, “Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe international railway transportation trains” was enabled in Chongqing and five Central Asian countries jointly, which got through Eurasia continental bridge with one action, and made the operation time from Chongqing to European land route shortened to be 13 days. Meanwhile, coordination was also made with the railway department of seven countries along the line to have the trains with fixed point, fixed time, fixed line, fixed train number and fixed price enabled, which laid a significant foundation to promote economic integration in Euroasia continent, and strengthen economic and trade cooperation between China and the member countries of European organization.
The symposium about economic and trade cooperation among countries along Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe international great passage line puts emphasis on the discussion about how to expand cargo flow in return trip, make cooperation in the fields such as logistics transportation, processing trade, Customs clearance inspection and quarantine, financial settlement and etc., and makes discussion about the establishment of the distribution and allocation center for export commodities geared to the needs of Southwest China in Europe, the establishment of the perennial demo and transaction center of European commodities in Chongqing, the expansion of import and export trade between China and 16 countries along Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe line, and the promotion of bilateral investment of enterprises and non-governmental exchange and cooperation.
