PROFESSIONAL PROFILE and Career summary

From November 2016 to May 17 I worked as a freelance practice manager consultant for a GP practice who were in special measures with the Care Quality Commission. The practice was without a practice manager during this time as they were not in a position to recruit permanently. The practice had a re-inspection in May 17 and now have a rating as good.

I worked fulltime as Practice manager for 19 years at Keyworth Medical Practice. The practice is dispensing, has a population of 11,000 patients, 40 staff including the GPs. I managed all aspects of general practice and consider myself to be a highly motivated person with the ability to delegate task to other members of staff. I am also a director of an in-house 100-hour Pharmacy which I played a big part in setting up in February 2014. I was also the chair of the Practice managers’ forum.

I take pride in producing high standards of work and work well under pressure. I am reliable, responsible and trustworthy, with a fair and friendly approach. I have the ability to meet targets and deadlines and to receive and relay accurate information using effective verbal and written communications.

I have 9years’ extensive knowledge of Systm0ne. I enjoy all computer based work, in particular looking at how Systm0ne can help in the practice.

I finished working at the practice in February 2016, to give myself some ‘ME’ time.

I am still currently working as a ‘Specialist practice manager Advisor’ for the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on a Casual Contract. I have been inspecting GP practices since February 2015 and have inspected over 100 practices across the country. I have seen a wide and diverse range of practices.

I alsoworked freelance for Quality Compliance Systems updating and reviewing GP their CQC policies and procedures and contributing to Blogs. (from Oct 16 – April 17)

I have also done some work for a Private GP ensuring that the practices systems and processes are for for CQC Inspection.
