Dear all, we hope that you have had a great summer. It is time to kick off another Grand Prix season! This season will be dedicated to Mr. Dilley the Grandfather of Dade County chess, who passed away this summer. He is the one who started our Grand Prix and we thank him and shall never forget him.
This season will consist of 8 Tournaments in which a team must participate in at least 6 tournaments to qualify for a team trophy. There will be 5 USCF rated divisions K1, K3, K5, K8, K12 and a non-member division. Individual trophies will be given out each tournament and teams will receive certificates each tournament and Team trophies when the season concludes. All tournaments this year will be held at the state of the art Divine Savior Academy. It is a beautiful playing site. The best we have ever had. It is located at 10311 NW 58 St, Doral. All tournaments will start at 9am sharp, and will consist of 5 rounds, 30 min. each player. For more info please email or call 786-543-2547 or 305-910-8526. We will also have weekly info and updates that you can find on This year registration will be done by submitting a roster with; name, division, USCF ID, school name, and rating. The cost is $12 per tournament or $10 if you pay for the season $80 (cash, check, PO). Thank you all and good luck!
