PRODUCTION MEETING REPORT

The Wizard of Oz

Properties:

-Oz head should take only one person but keep two just in case.

-Helen is bring in the chick.

-Paint the bike to be more Kansas like.

-Bongos and all that jazz – can look at it all after this.

-Pull two crates from storage or something to that effect to use in the Marvel set. Need to look like crates so that they fit into the set. One of the blocks can be used in Scarecrow.

-Trees for Tinman scene: wood is here, looking to cartoon it out. Will have something for opening. Will have apples for offstage none-the-less. Will do what we can. This is up on the priority list.

-Will schedule a time for Jasmine to come to the stage and work with firing lanes and all that jazz.

-3 tornado cuts outs are done, just need to look at the sticks. Thanks.

-Crystal ball mist thing – take a look at it.

Costumes:

-N/A

Scenic:

-Tiers: Yes for tonight.

-Everything will be on wheels that we will have for opening night.

-One of the arch units on a wagon also.

-Porch for Dorothy’s House will be done today also.

-Oz’s Wagon is good to go – the window is good to go.

-The groundrow is good to go.

-The tracks for the trees are here, supports are being made currently.

-6:30pm-7:30pm is scheduled just for placing and spiking scenery.

-Boys can go home after that.

-Maybe some sort of marking for the trees? Yes, piece of wood the size of the base. Thank you.

-Looking for a rain rehearsal on Wednesday. Everything is stored backstage, just look at it and see what we need to move, etc.

-Cellar: doesn’t open, can’t make it open (just not a priority). One side would be great if it’s big enough. By opening, just tell us if it’s not. We’ll take a look.

-No railing on the tiers tonight – but the steel railing structure will be in by opening.

-Oz Head – will be done hopefully by tomorrow. Puppet rehearsal on Wednesday instead.

-Balloon: could crank something out but worried about safety: alternatives for opening – couple of ropes, make it look like he’s going. Possible to get rig done (but safety and time). Would look good if the ropes were tied to the base. It will be pretty awesome when it’s done. 3 ropes total. He will just be standing on a platform, just walking off right now. The basket, when made, will open towards the audience. Steps on stage.

-Glinda’s bubble: take a look at it outside.

-Scarecrow’s Pole is done, just need to put it up.

-No need for the chicken coop – the crate is fine. Wish it was a little higher up – look in storage. Maybe a pile of crates or something over there will be made.

-Haunted Forest Tree – wagon for opening? Not on the top of the priorities (as long as the sign itself is out). No big. Will take a look at it all.

-4 lanterns instead of 6 is fine. Yes. That’s a decision that can be made later if the other 2 are needed. Not high on the list.

-Will have numbers tonight, not the real ones – but something.

Electrics:

-2 lighting fixtures on either side: 4 total. Side light, 2 moves (not heavy). Will be hot getting off.

-The instruments are sitting on the inside edge of the speaker towers. Will depend on where the legs go (5 feet away from the back of the front wall).

-Side lighting for Merry Old Land. Look and see if there are some technicians who can do it.

-Didn’t get as far with cues last night (has issues with some focusing and scrollers).

-During the week, once we get set in, will need to re-focus again.

-Side stages are still week (just not much we can do).

-Gap between the sidestage and mainstage – not so wonderful either.

-Jasmine’s jitterbug monologue is the only one that has to stay on the sidestage.

-Stripping on the winkies is there, but moves.

-The gate is going to be hard to make look wonderful – no practicals (maybe one day).

-Will be building cues as we’re working tonight.

-Once the lanterns are up, you will be notified.

Sound:

-No need for mics tonight. Will need a God mic to help with it all. Thank you. No orchestra, so no big deal.

Paint:

-Numbers 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 Thank you.
