Process to Submit a “Request for Funding” – Association of Professional Chaplains® Strategic Fund
The Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) Board of Directors has developed a Strategic Fundtosupport strategic initiatives consistent with the APC Mission, Vision and Values and that support the current strategic plan: 2017-2019 Strategic Plan
Proposal deadlines are January 30 and June 30. Submit proposal(s) by completing the application on page 2 and sending it to .
The proposal application will be reviewed by the APC staff and Executive Committee within two months of the deadline. The Executive Committee may decline the proposal or request an expanded proposal from the applicant with the following requirements:
1)Narrative statement not to exceed 7 pages (double-spaced and typed in a 12-point font, 2000 word limit) that succinctly describes the proposed project and articulates its relationship to the APC strategic plan and how APC members and/or the profession will benefit from it. Please include:
- Project timeline
- All participants, including confirmation that an APC/BCCI chaplain is involved in the project
- Goals and objectives: How this grant will strengthen the profession, address issues or needs, make improvements, etc.
- Criteria for success and evaluation method(s)
2)Relevant bibliography (2-3 pages double-spaced)
3)Curriculum Vitae(s) or resume(s) of applicants and related individuals (no more than 4 pages each)
4)Letter(s) of support
The expanded proposal must be submitted by the date deemed by the committee and will be reviewed within two months of receipt. After the review, the Executive Committee can accept the proposal, modify the budget amount requested or decline the proposal. Budget requests over $5000 will be submitted to the Board of Directors for final approval.
Grant recipients agree to share results of the project via a newsletter article, webinar, workshop or other accepted method of communication with the APC membership.
