THE DEPARTMENT – PRIVATE WEALTH

The role holder will be part of ateam of administrators supporting over 180professionally qualified Private Wealth Financial Advisers, located across our 13 offices. The advisers offer anindependent, personal and proactive advisory service to our clients, they will typically provide advice on the full range of financial planning services such as: investments; retirement; tax; education; savings; protection; long term care and mortgage planning.

THE LOCATION

The role holder will be based in our London office which is centrally located, benefiting from excellent transport links being only a few minutes walk from Liverpool Street station. London is not only our head office but also one of our largest offices both in terms of the revenue it generates and Adviser numbers, with approximately 35 Advisers based here. The office has a number of well established and very successful Private Wealth Advisers, BMA Advisers, Corporate Advisers and a Personal Injury Team, as well as a small group of trainee Associate Advisers.

THE ROLE

The role holder will provide a complete administration service for 1 to 3 Private Wealth Advisers. The role holder will deliver a high level of technical support for the Adviser to assist them in the procurement and processing of new business and the servicing of existing clients. The role holder will adhere to strict FSA regulations and internal policy and procedure.

Job Purpose:
To provide an efficient administration service for AWD Chase de Vere Advisers. To assist the Advisers in the procurement and processing of new business and the servicing of existing clients, adhering to strict FSA regulations and internal policy and procedure.
Job Context:
The role holder will support between 1 and 3 Private Wealth Advisers, dependant upon their experience and the Advisers business production.
The key functions of the role are to deliver an efficient and effective support service to the Adviser, while providing an excellent service to the client.
Some of the offices may differ in their size and business processes, however, the key purpose and accountabilities of the role remain the same.

Key Dimensions:
To provide support for between 1 and 3 Advisers (office or home based).
Each Adviser will have approximately 250 clients
Key Accountabilities:
Business processing
To produce the all relevant paperwork for the client, on behalf of the Adviser, including, quotations, illustrations and valuations.
To process all new business documentation in accordance with the agreed service and quality standards.
Client Service
To deal with basic queries from clients, Advisers or colleagues, taking the appropriate action to ensure the query is dealt with in a timely and effective manor.
To deliver excellent client service in accordance with FSA guidelines, internal policy and procedure and company service standards.
To ensure that the information on the database is accurate and up to date.
Communication
To develop and maintain good working relationships with the Advisers, colleagues and management in order to provide an efficient and effective service to the Adviser and the clients.

Essential / Preferred
Qualifications
  • 5 GCSE’s or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Accurate keyboard skills

Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within an administration role, preferably within the financial services industry

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience within a sales support role

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

NB: Please note this information is provided as guidance only and does notform part of the contract of employment.

HoursNormal hours are 35 hours per week, between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch break). You are required to be flexible and your working pattern may be varied to reflect the needs of the business.

Holiday25 days holiday per year, your holiday entitlement shall increase to 26 (twenty six) working days after five complete years’ service and then by 1 (one) additional day per year up to a maximum of 30 (thirty) days’ holiday.

Flexible BenefitsEmployees can spend a maximum of 20% of basic salary on a range of selected flexible benefits.

Death in ServiceDeath in service benefit of 4 x basic salary.

ProbationThe standard probationary period is 6 months

TermFixed Term Contract for 12 Months (Maternity Cover)
