Other Important Information

Condos

We will be staying in Snowbrook Village. Once sign-ups close we will send a rooming list for your condo number. Sheets, blankets, towels and pillows are provided. The kitchen will have basic appliances and dishes and utensils.

Unfortunately, internet connections are not guaranteed in the rooms, but there are locations with wifi around the resort (main lodge). It will be important to have your cell phone with you at all times, as this will be the principal way we can contact you.

To get around the resort, use the Sugarloaf Shuttle. You will get information about the Shuttle schedule when you arrive at the condos. You can also access the slopes directly by ski (see map).

Food

The condos are all equipped with kitchens. For breakfasts, please bring your own supplies. Most rooms should have kettles and coffeemakers. For lunches, you are also on your own. There is a small shop at the main lodge where you can get various supplies and food, and of course there are plenty of eating out options.

Dinners are included, and will include vegetarian options. See schedule for meeting times, and resort map for locations.

What to Bring

  • WARM CLOTHING. It will be COLD. We are going northwards and upwards in altitude. Think -20 F/-30C.
  • The most important principle in outerwear is layering. Your outer layer should be wind and water resistant (ie, ski jacket and ski pants). Your middle layer should be insulating (fleece or wool sweater). Your lower layer should wick moisture away from your body (long underwear, non-cotton long-sleeved shirt). Make sure to apply the same principle to your hands: have water-resistant gloves or mittens on top of thinner gloves or mittens. Here is an illustrated guide:
  • Small backpack to store water extra layers.
  • Swimsuit for hot tubs!!!!

Rentals, Passes and Lessons

If you paid for rentals, you can pick up your skis/snowboards at the main base lodge with your rental coupon.

Everyone gets a free ski lesson every day, at any level. Lessons are offered at 10 am and 2 pm each day. More lesson information will be included in the packets you receive when arriving at Sugarloaf. Lift passes will be handed out once we arrive. Tear the receipt off your lift ticket and keep it in a safe place so that you can easily get a new ticket in case you lose yours. You are responsible for not losing your lift pass or rental ticket.
