2014 High School Scholarship Application

The Cary Lions Club will be awarding two (3) $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors that are going to a University, Junior College or Trade School. The requirements to be eligible for the award are listed below:

To be eligible you must:

  1. Reside in the 60013 zip code areas.
  2. Be a graduating member of the Class of 2014.
  3. Have a minimum GPA of 2.0 based on a 4.0 scale, supported by a sealed copy of your transcript provided with the application.

Our programs are continually changing to meet new needs and greater demands, but our mission has never wavered: "We Serve."

  • Submit along with your application a typed essay, not less than 500 words, on the following:

Service to our communities helps make our towns a better and more fulfilling place to live and raise a family. Discuss how community service makes our towns stronger and give examples of community service you with which you have been involved with.

  • All Entries will be judges by a panel of Lion members and non-members.
  • Announcements of the winners will be made at the winner’s high school honors/awards night.
  • Awards will be distributed to the winners at the Cary Lions Club Meeting on June 19, 2014
