Prevent Self-Assessment–Early Years Settings

Understandinghow andwherechildren and their families can beputatriskof extremismandradicalisationis thecritical firststepin addressingthethreat. Early Years Settingsarerequiredto carry outriskassessmentsthatwill helpthem to measuretheresponses thatthey need to implementin orderto protecttheir children.This documentis designedas aguide to help early years settingsassess themselves.

Every early years settingis differentand you must makesurethatyouhave consideredwhatitappropriateto your settingbasedon yourriskassessment,takinginto accountnot only yoursettingbutyourlocal community.

Early Years Settings shouldalways also refer to Governmentstatutory guidanceandthe OfstedCommonAssessmentFramework.
