Servant arrested for theft :- Sadar Bazar police have arrested one Raghubir, aged 28 years, R/o Motia Khan on the charge of stealing of cartons containing dypers (Child cloth accessories). According to DCP/North office, Raghubir had been working at the shop of Sh. Rajesh Kakar who deals in wholesale of ready made garments. On the complaint of Rajesh Kakar regarding theft of cartons, the alleged was interrogated at length. He eventually admitted stealing of cartons from the shop and selling them at low price. Two cartons were recovered at his instance.

AUTO-LIFTERS ARRESTED BY EAST DISTRICT POLICE

East District police has arrested two auto-lifters namely Sunil @ Pathak s/o S.D. Pathak r/o D-67/9, East Vinod Nagar, Delhi and Yogesh Sharma s/o Late Bal Kishan r/o H.No.7/31, Sector-17, Rohini, Delhi and recovered a stolen motorcycle No.DL-7S AS-2968 from their possession.

Incident

On 29.10.07 a secret information was received that two persons would pass through ITI Khichripur with a stolen pulsar motor cycle. This information was developed and on the direction of Sh. M. L. Sharma (SHO/P.Nagar), a team comprising of SI Abhishek, Const. Sanjay No. 1848/E and Const. Harender Singh No. 1455/E of P.S. Pandav Nagar started checking at ITI Khichripur, Delhi. During checking two suspicious looking persons were stopped by the team who could not satisfactorily reply nor could prove ownership of the motorcycle No.DL-7SAS-2968 Black colour. During interrogation they revealed that they had stolen above said motor cycle from West Patel Nagar 5 months ago vide case FIR No. 335/07 dated 31.5.07 u/s 379 IPC P.S.Patel Nagar. A case vide FIR No. 562/07 dated 29.10.07 u/s 411/34 IPC has been registered at Police Station Pandav Nagar and both accused have been arrested .

Interrogation

During sustained interrogation the accused persons confessed that they have stolen other Motor Cycles and Cars form different areas. Some of the worked out cases are as under:-

GANG OF BUS ROBBERS ARRESTED IN SANGAM VIHAR

INTRODUCTION

With the arrest of 5 robbers of Manoj @ Chotta Chawal gang namely i) Manoj @ Choota Chawal, aged 22 years, S/o Rajesh Gupta, r/o J J Colony Khanpur, Delhi, ii) Anjesh Kumar @ Sanjay , Aged 21 years, S/o Munna Lal, r/o Dakshin Puri, Delhi, iii) Sri Kant @ Sunil, aged 21 years, S/o Charat Ram, r/o Dakshinpuri, Delhi, iv) Vijay Kumar, aged 24 years S/o Rattan Kumar, r/o Madangir, Delhi and v) Ram Prakash, aged 48 years, S/o Om Prakash, r/o Dakshin Puri, Delhi, the South Distt. has successfully busted a gang of bus robbers who are involved in many cases of bus robbery. The police team also recovered 3 button actuated knives, 2 surgical blades and 4 stolen mobile phones from their possession.

INCIDENTS

Keeping in view the growing incidents of pick-pocketing/bus robberies in the area of South District in the festive season, a Police team of Special Staff/South District comprising of SI Balbir Singh, HCs Vijay, Premjeet, Manoj, Rajesh and Raj Kumar, Cts. Ashok and Mahinder led by Inspr. Vijay Singh, I/C Special Staff/SD under the close supervision of Sh. R.C. Saini, ACP/Ops./SD was directed to keep a vigil on such active gangs and develop information about their activities in the area.The Police team developed sources and collected all possible information about the gangs who are involved in committing robbery in running buses.

During this process, the Police team received a secret information on 30.10.2007 at about 2.30 p.m. that some members of Manoj @ Chotta Chawal gang would assemble at Tuglakabad Shooting Range to make plan for dacoity in running buses, as they know that due to festive season people usually carry handsome cash for marketing. The team laid a trap in the area and at about 4.30 p.m. and apprehended all the above mentioned 5 criminals. Upon their personal search, the police team recovered 2 surgical blades from the possession of Ram Prakash. 3 button actuated knives were recovered from the possession of Manoj @ Chotta Chawal, Sri Kant and Anjesh. Consequently, they were arrested for offences under Arms Act and IPC for making plan for Dacoity.

INTERROGATION & MODUS OPERANDI

During the course of sustained interrogation, it has been revealed that Manoj @ Chotta Chawal is the gang leader. He is B.C. of Police Station Ambedkar Nagar and involved in more than 20 cases of pick-pocketing and robbery in running buses. Ram Prakash, who is an aged person was also found involved in 10 cases of pick-pocketing, robbery in running buses including one case under NDPS Act. Anjesh is involved in 6 cases of pick-pocketing and Arms Act. Sri Kant is involved in 12 cases of bus robberies/ pick pocketing including a murder case of PS Ambedkar Nagar in which he murdered one South Indian young boy about 5 years back. Vijay, as the receiver of looted booty, used to dispose off the looted booty through his sources in the area of Gaffar market, Karol Bagh and Ambedkar Nagar. They used to commit crime as a gang and threatened the bus passengers at the point of knife and rob them. After committing crime they used to flee from the scene of

crime in any private vehicle arranged by them, which used to follow the targeted bus. They use to keep the aged accused Ram Prakash with their gang so that no one could suspect their ulterior motive due to the presence of an aged person in their gang.

RECOVERY

1.Three button actuated knives.

2.Two surgical blades.

3.Four stolen mobile phones.

MURDER CASE SOLVED : ONE ACCUSED ARRESTED

With the arrest of Naveen @ Kale aged 19 years s/o Jaipal r/o H.No. 182, Gali No.5, Ambedkar Basti, Maujpur, Delhi, North East District police has solved a murder case reported at PS Seelam Pur within 48 hours. Weapon of offence i.e. knife has been recovered.

TEAM & INCIDENT
A team consisting of.Inspr. Satyadev Dahiya, SHO/Seelam Pur, Inspr. Investigation Udaibir Singh, SI Satender Mohan, SI Lokender, HC Mahender, Ct. Dinesh and Ct. Dharmender was constituted under the supervision of Shri Data Ram, ACP/Seelam Pur.

On 28.10.07, Sandeep Jaiswal aged 22 years s/o Shiv Shankar r/o 10/23B, Gali No.5, Ambedkar Basti, Maujpur, Delhi and Ashu Shrivastava s/o Rambir r/o H.No. 3/16A, Gali No.8, House of Subhash, Gurudwara Mohalla, Maujpur, Delhi (both friends) abused and slapped one Naveen on which he got agitated and took out a knife and inflicted stab injuries on both of them. Ashu sustained stab injury on right side of his abdomen and Sandeep sustained stab injury on the lower portion of his shoulder. One Dhirender who was passing from there, tried to intervene but he also sustained injury on his thigh. Naveen @ Kale fled away from the spot. All the victims were immediately taken to GTBHospital where Ashu was declared ‘brought dead’ while Sandeep and Dhirender were admitted in the hospital. Subsequently, a murder case was registered at PS Seelam Pur and investigation was taken up.

INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION

Accused Naveen @ Kale was absconding. A police team consisting of above mentioned police officers was constituted and with their sincere efforts, accused Naveen was apprehended. On sustained interrogation, he disclosed that Sandeep Jaiswal and Ashu Srivastava are friends and work at a cloth shop at Chandni Chowk. They also work as pick-pockets while he is also working as a pick-pocket. Sandeep and Ashu often abused and beat him. About a week ago, Sandeep and Ashu quarreled with him and threatened not to intervene in their area of operation (pick-pocketing). Sandeep also gave minor injury to Naveen with a blade. Since then, Naveen got terrified and started keeping a knife with him. On the day of incident, when Sandeep and Ashu abused him, he inflicted stabbing injury to both of them.

1.Naveen @ Kale s/o Jaipal r/o H.No. 182, Gali No.5, Ambedkar Basti, Maujpur, Delhi is 19 years old. He is illiterate and unemployed. Earlier he worked as a plumber with injured person Dhirender. He is a pick-pocket and earlier arrested under preventive section 107/151 Cr.PC at PS Bhajan Pura and PS Seelam Pur.
