P.Os. arrested : North Distt police arrested three POs. yesterday. According to DCP/North office two of them happened to be the same name i.e Om Prakash and third one is Sonu. The respective courts had declared them P.O. in the cases of Arms Act, NI Act and accident.

Women held for Pick pocketing : Kashmiri Gate police arrested two women namely Savitri and Sita (name changed) on charges of picking pocket yesterday. According to DCP/North office, while the complainant Naseem Ahmed was travelling in a blue line bus plying on Kashmiri Gate bus terminus, a gang of 4-5 ladies boarded the bus and stole Rs. 1520/- from his pocket. He got suspicious about the moment of the women and raised an alarm. The duo were caught hold with the help of co-passengers while the other three managed to escape. No recovery was effected. Efforts are afoot to locate the absconding accused women for appropriate action. Investigation is in progress.

Pick pocket arrested: Sadar Bazar police arrested one teenager on charges of stealing mony. . According to DCP/North office he was caught red handed while trying to steal money from the pocket of one Vishram in a religious ceremony in Kishan Ganj area. The complainant caught hold him and handed over to police.

One Vikas S/o Chander Bhan R/o H.No.43, Dheerpur Village, Delhi reported on 21.7.2008 that some persons had stolen steel goods from his factory at A-117, Group Industrial Area, Wazirpur, Delhi on 11.7.2008. A case vide FIR No.256/08, dt. 21.7.2008 u/s 380-IPC was registered at P.S. Ashok Vihar and investigation carried out.

Acting on a secret information, Police team comprising Head Constable Tribhuvan, Ct. Pyare Lal and Ct. Hitler of PS Ashok Vihar nabbed three persons namely Shyam Lal (aged 28-years) S/o Madhav Pal, Rameshwer @ Chhale (aged 26-years) S/o Sriram and Suraj (aged-24-years) S/o Shyam Sunder, all resident of Wazirpur Industrial Area, near Tool Room, MCD School, Wazirpur Industrial Area on 21.7.2008. On sustained interrogation, trio disclosed that they had sold the stolen goods to Matloob Kabari wala. At the instance of accused persons, Matloob Kabariwala (aged-26-years) had also been arrested. Steel goods which they had stolen from A-117, Wazirpur Industrial Area, Delhi had been recovered from the Jhuggi of Matloob Kabari at Wazirpur Industrial Area. Further investigation of the case is in progress.

GANG OF DESPERATE ROBBER BUSTED : TWO CASEES OF ROBBERY SOLVED

With the arrest of two dreaded robbers (1) Imran aged 21 years s/o Akram Khan r/o B-41, Dilshad Colony, Delhi and (2) Ajay Sharma aged 21 years s/o Late Inderpal r/o Vill. Nangla Attor, Firozpur, Ghaziabad, UP, North East District police has worked out two cases of robbery of PS Seema Puri and Gokal Puri.

One Accent car used in commission of offence, one country made pistol + 2 live cartridges, cash Rs. 3500/- and one mobile phone looted from the complainant have been recovered.

INCIDENT

Shri Gulshan Kumar s/o Raj Pal r/o O-28/A-5, Dilshad Garden, Delhi reported that he ran a grocery shop at O-35/A-2, Dilshad Garden. On 20.07.08 at 10:05 PM, he was present in his shop. Meanwhile, a Accent car came in front of his shop and four boys aged about 20/25 years got down from the car and robbed off his cash box containing Rs.20000/-, a purse containing driving license of the complainant and his mobile phone make Nokia-1200 at the point of desi katta and fled away in their car bearing No. DL-3C 7546 towards Suraksha Nursing Home, Dilshad Colony. Subsequently, a case of robbery was registered at P.S. Seema Puri and investigation was taken up.

TEAM & INVESTIGATION

A team consisting of Inspr. H.S.P. Singh SHO/Seema Puri, Inspr. Investigation Pankaj Sharma, SI Teg Bahadur, ASI Shahid Khan, HC Jagdish Singh, Ct. Sukhbir, Ct. Satbir and Ct. Sunil Kumar was constituted under the close supervision of Shri Rajesh Dev, ACP/Seema Puri, North East District.

The sources were deployed in the area and listed criminals of the police station were interrogated at length but it could not give any lead about the accused persons. In the evening of 21.07.08, Ct. Sukhbir and staff was performing patrolling in the area of P.S. Seema Puri. At the same time, Ct. Sukhbir received a secret information that the criminals involved in the incident of robbing a grocery shop on the night of 20.07.08 would pass through 70’ Road in an Accent Car. A police team consisting of above mentioned police officers was immediately constituted under the supervision of ACP/Seema Puri and a trap was laid at 70’ Road, Near Police Booth for the vehicles coming from Nand Nagri to Seema Puri. At about 8:30 PM, an Accent car was seen approaching towards Seema Puri side. On the pointing of information, the car was stopped in which two persons were seated. They were asked about the documents of the car but they could not produce any paper. On getting suspicioun, they were strictly questioned about the ownership of the car. They informed that they had stolen the car from the area of PS Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, UP. On verification, it was confirmed that the Accent car has been stolen from the said area about 2/3 days ago. On their personal search, a country made pistol with 2 live cartridges was recovered from their possession. They were arrested and were taken to P.S. Seema Puri.

INTERROGATION

The identity of the accused persons was disclosed as Imran r/o Dilshad Colony, Delhi & Ajay Sharma r/o Firozpur, Ghaziabad, UP. During sustained interrogation, they disclosed that they worked for gang leader Amit Jat who is running in judicial custody at Dasna jail, UP. They along with their associates used to steal luxury cars and after replacing the original number plate of the car with a fake number plate, they committed robberies in different areas of Delhi and UP. They also carry deadly weapons to thwart any resistance from the complainant.

They further disclosed that they have committed a robbery in the last night in the area of Dilshad Garden and looted a grocery shop. Before looting the shop, they have placed a fake number plate on their car so that they could not be traced. They also confessed to have committed robbery in the area of P.S. Gokal Puri and looted a petrol pump in the month of February 2008 and the car Honda City used in that offence was stolen by their gang leader Amit Jat from the area of P.S. New Friends Colony.

On their instance, cash Rs. 3500/- and one mobile phone looted from the complainant, have been recovered. Further investigation is being made and efforts are being made to arrest their gang members and more recovery.

After getting failed in class XII, he fell into bad company and came in contact with a dreaded criminal Amit Jat and started committing crime including MV Theft and robbery. He is previously involved in ten cases of robbery of Delhi and U.P.
  2. Ajay Sharma s/o Late Inderpal r/o Vill. Nangla Attor, Firozpur, Ghaziabad, UP is 21 years old. He has passed BA Ist Year from MMH College, Ghaziabad, UP and thereafter he left the studies and came in contact with a dreaded criminal Amit Jat and started committing crime including MV Theft and robbery. He is previously involved in ten cases of robbery of Delhi and U.P.

GANG OF NOTORIOUS AUTO LIFTERS ARRESTED :

SIXTEEN STOLEN VEHICLES RECOVERED.

South District Police has arrested a three member Gang of Auto lifters namely (1) Brahmanand, age 35 years s/o Jagdish (2) Khem Chand, age 30 years s/o Chet Ram, (3) Shahjad, age 28 years s/o Mohd. Intiaz (all) r/o Village Bhansroli, Buland Shahar U.P. and recovered 16 stolen vehicles at their instance.

INCIDENT, TEAM & RECOVERY

In view of the increasing incidents of auto lifting, in and around Delhi, a special team comprising of SI Neeraj Choudhary, I/c PP Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-II, ASI Rajender, HC Rakesh and Cts. Sanjeev, Naeem, Yashin, Balbir, Praveen and Manoj, headed by Inspr. B.S. Rana-SHO/Okhla, under the supervision of Sh. Rakesh Pawaria-ACP/Kalkaji was constituted to develop information and to nab the active auto lifters.

At about 3.00 PM, on 14.07.2008, a secret information was received at PS Okhla that Brahmanand, the notorious Autolifter active in Delhi and U.P. shall come from Okhla Phase-III side and cross through the Maa Anand Mai Marg around 5.00 PM in a stolen Maruti Car. The information was conveyed to ACP/Kalkaji who directed the team members to check the suspicious vehicles by installing barricades near G.B. Pant Polytechnic. At about 5.00 PM, a white maruti car bearing Regn. No. DL-4CQ-0532 was signalled to stop for checking at the barricade but the driver tried to negotiate the barricade and speed off. The alert staff members intercepted the vehicle and the driver was asked to show the documents of the car but he failed. On enquiry from the Automatch section, it was revealed that the vehicle was stolen from PS Lodhi Colony Area vide FIR No. 352/07 u/s 379 IPC. Accused Brahmanand was arrested and interrogated at length.

On sustained interrogation, the accused disclosed that he is a school dropout who came in contact with the autolifters namely Mustkim and Tony of Distt. Bulandshahar, U.P. and involved himself in autolifting with them. Later on he formed his own gang with Khem Chand and Shahzad, started stealing vehicles at different places in and around Delhi and selling them off in small cities adjoining to Delhi. Continuous raids were conducted at the possible hideouts of the other accused and they were apprehended from Bulandshahar, U.P. Fifteen more stolen vehicles including, one Maruti-800 car, eight Maruti Vans, one Indica, one Santro, one Matiz and three Motorcycles were recovered at their instance from different places in and around Delhi. Accused Brahmanand is also a history sheeter of PS Agota, Distt. Bulandshahar, U.P. previously involved in several cases of autolifting.
