Present:Chair, Martin Barry, Ph.D., Warren Davis, Marianne Salcetti, Ph.D., Sheila Ames, Secretary. Guest: Tom Duston, Chair, Chesterfield CC, Barbara Richter, Executive Director NH Association of Conservation Commissions

W. Davis made a motion to approve minutes for February 2017. M. Salcetti seconded the motion. Members voted yes (unanimous).

Old Business
Item: 16-12-01 / M. Barry spoke with Francis Merlone’s neighbor, Peter Bautini, on February 16th about the possibility of selling the property to the CC. M. Barry told Mr. Bautini that the TCC was not interested in buying the property. Members discussed the issues associated with the property and agreed that no further discussion was warranted. / No Further Action

Item: 17-03-01 / S. Ames talked about an email; County Forester Steve Roberge is asking towns to assist in updating the NH GRANIT data on town forests and other town owned land over 10 acres in size. Troy’s 2011 Naural Resource Inventory Phase II indicates the town owns a 270 acre parcel that follows Rockwood Brook. / Follow-up TBD 2017

Item: 17-03-02 / S. Ames brought up the TCC to begin work on a conservation plan for the town’s natural resources that could be included into the master plan once that is updated by the planning board. Barbara Richter to send an example of what a Conservation Plan looks like. / Follow up April 2017
Conservation Plan
Item: 17-03-03 / Tom Duston talked about the Wantastiquet/Monadnock Trail that he has been working on and would like the TCC to be stewards of the rail line that runs through Troy. This would involve general maintenance of the rail bed (approx. 2-3miles) ,putting up trail markers and signage at the Metacomet-Monadnock Trail junction. Also, to send a representative from the TCC to annual meetings that would oversee the entire trail system. S. Ames made a motion to send a representative from the TCC. W. Davis seconded the motion. Four members voted yes (unanimous).

Wantastiquet/Monadnock Trail
Item: 17-03-04 / Barbara Richter talked about sending an example of an ordinance that would allow CC’s and Zoning boards to receive copies of developments.
The NH Wildlife Action Plan maps were recommended for towns to identify areas of high wildlife potential.
A Wetlands Workshop on March 27th at the Keene Library. S. Ames to attend. A possible local Training Workshop for the GRANIT Mapper was brought up.
NHACC emails on the NH Legislature and bills of concern was talked about. / No Further Action
