Sub Plans – Week of October 6, 2014

Dear (hopefully) Ms. Sanders,

My plan is to be gone Monday and Tuesday and then try to return to work on Wednesday of this week. You do not need to tell the kids that, I am just telling you so you know my intentions.

Prep World Geography – 1st & 2nd periods

These kids did horribly on their Physical Processes Quiz from Wednesday and Thursday. The Plan is to today have EVERY SINGLE PERSON RETAKE THE QUIZ. What I need:

1.  Return graded papers (DO NOT RETURN any large scantrons, nor their original PHYSICAL PROCESS QUIZ – I want them to work through the quiz on their own, not copy the answers from a friend)

2.  Have them use their notes and graded work from their binders to do the retake for this quiz.

3.  On the quiz, they will be writing what set of notes or assignment they used to find the correct answer. Please make sure this happens.

4.  This will probably leave you with extra time – then we can start going over Climographs Notes

AP Human Geography – 3rd Period

They will watch “The People Paradox” and answer the questions that they got last week, but didn’t get a chance to start the assignment.

Pre-AP World Geography – 4th & 5th periods

These classes did well on their quizzes. You may return their graded work to them, including their quizzes (BUT there may be SCANTRONS – DO NOT RETURN – I need to reuse them again)

1.  Hand out the Climograph Activity and have them work on it. If they do not finish today, they can return it Tuesday at the beginning of class.

Prep World Geography – 1st & 2nd periods

Today, they will work on the Climograph Activity that Pre-AP did yesterday. During First Period, please ask Mr. Plagens to help explain to them how to read a climograph (bar graph = rainfall & line graph = temperature).

AP Human Geography – 3rd Period

They will watch “The People Paradox” and answer the questions that they got last week, but didn’t get a chance to start the assignment.

Pre-AP World Geography – 4th & 5th periods

Today, they will work on answering these questions, following the format on the top of the page. Make sure they are answering in complete sentences and referring to the article. The articles are a class copy so they must finish their work before the end of the period.
