Creating a Civil Environment which promotes a professional environment

A mini workshop designed to: Explore the issues of incivility in the workplace and what an organization can do to eliminate the behaviors and support a positive work environment.

Methodology of this program will be the dissemination of information and interactive dialogue.

Target Audience: This mini- workshop targets administrative staff, managers and human resources to explore the issues of civility, bullying and interpersonal issues which disrupt our health care environment.

Objectives: On completion of this program, the participant will be able to:

  1. Identify the continuum from uncivil to bullying behavior.
  2. Detect and avoid unhealthy patterns of working together in the workplace.
  3. Explore utilizing a code of conduct, zero tolerance policy and staff education on managing difficult behaviors

Presenter: Anne Walker, M.Ed.-Anne currently serves as adjunct faculty for VNIP intensive courses. She has over 20 years of experience working with organizations on developing collaborative environments and effective work teams.

Any VT nurse needing a scholarship for this program may apply by contacting the VNIP office.

Any agency that hosts a workshop (provides room and food) may send their staff to that session at no cost. Registration is required.
