Days of Prayer and Fasting

Here are some thoughts as we begin to pray: Jesus said, “Find a quiet secluded place so that you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you’ll begin to sense his grace. ….This is your father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply.” Matt 6:6-8 [The Message]

  1. Stewardship Ministries: Please pray for:
  • Those that are experiencing pressure to overspend this Christmas season. May they be able to enjoy a debt-free Christmas
  • Churches struggling to balance their 2017 budget and for people to give generously towards the work of their local church.
  • That the financial goals for CORE and Giving Streams are met this year so that the FMCIC can finish the year without deficit.
  • A spirit of gratitude that overflows in joyous generosity for all of God’s grace and mercies.
