CLASS SUMMARY: Incumbents are responsible for performing, planning, coordination and executing activities requiring thorough knowledge and understanding of rules, regulations and policies in area of assignment in order to perform activities in support of theater initiatives.
TYPICAL CLASS ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
1.  Assist with the creation and implementation of social media initiatives for all DCT programming including all mainstage professional shows, education programs, fundraising events, national touring company and other special events as well as general organizational image communications.
2.  Videotape, conceptualize and edit show videos and general promotional videos for use on DCT website, social media and other platforms as needed.
3.  Research and present ways to grow social media, expand visibility, and create relevant dialogue with fans.
4.  Assist with increasing ticket sales through social media/ added value promotions/ contesting and third party tie-ins as well as grassroots initiatives.
5.  Participate in the orchestration and execution of high visibility onsite and offsite events involving productions/ general theater branding/ gala/ development events/collaborations/ fundraisers.
6. Act as photographer when needed. Assist PR/Marketing with photo sessions/selecting
photos for printing and distribution.
7. Coordinate, proof and finalize event program books with internal department
clients and graphic designer.
8. Help facilitate on- and offsite promotions involving talent, sponsors, and
meet and greets as well as publicity events. Act as a representative for DCT at expos
and table events as required.
9. Assist PR with the online posting of press releases, as well as show and event listings. Also assist in
the retrieval and archiving of organization’s online and printed publicity.
10. Schedule and manage birthday parties booked at DCT.
11. Deliver DCT collateral materials to external partners in community when needed.

Training and Experience (positions in this class typically require)
·  Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; database management experience – Tessitura preferred.
·  Proficiency with social media platforms, terminology, and best practices to ensure high rate of return.
·  Familiarity with video production recording and editing software and techniques.
·  Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
·  Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
·  Ability to organize and prioritize work.
·  Ability to work independently with little supervision.
·  Excellent interpersonal skills.

Knowledge (position requirements at entry):
·  Social Media Platforms, terminology, and best practices to ensure high rate of return.
·  Video and photographic composition/editing
·  Working knowledge of advertising/marketing practices and terminology
·  Basic principles of nonprofit management, arts and education.
Skills (position requirements at entry):
·  Must have experience in managing projects from conception to implementation;
·  Must have good analytical skills and sound judgment;
·  Detail oriented and organized;
·  Experience in proofreading
·  Knowledge of Macintosh computer software and operating system.
·  Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication.
Physical Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require: fine motor skills, hand/eye coordination and unimpaired hearing or visual capability.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
