Jigsaw Review: Cell Diversity

Name:______

Date:______

Period:_____

Introduction: Students will be broken into groups that will create an interactive review on Cell Diversity, using either PPT, SMARTBoard software, prezi.com, Weebly.com, or other internet resources, on the different types of cells. They will then present this information to their classmates. The students who will be interacting with the presentations will answer several essential questions after the presentations.

Standard(s):

•1c. Students know how prokaryotic cells, eukaryotic cells (including those from plants and animals), and viruses differ in complexity and general structure.

Student objective(s):

SWBAT…

•differentiate prokaryotic cells, eukaryotic cells, and viruses from each other by examining structure,complexity, and size.

•compare and contrast plant and animal cells.
