Salient Features
ABOUT THE SOFTWARE
A) Easy to use:
Poult-Soft Broiler Version 2002.0.1 is an integrated user-friendly desktop window based GUI software convertible to LAN. Anyone with basic working knowledge of computers can use this software.. The daily data inputs are almost on the similar pattern as presently done manually. Hence the user will find no difficulty in shifting over.
The software is Flock and shed base AND has three main Sections :
1) INVENTORY , 2) FARM & 3) FEED.
All sections are integrated but function independently. All purchases and sale entries are routed through the inventory section. The software also has “Master Entry” forms under each section.
In case of any wrong or incomplete input entry in Masters or Inventory (Purchases and stock transfer ), the application will not show the appropriate date in the relevant section / operational form of that section.
B) Flock Economics and Performance
Poult-Soft - Broiler is “Flock Economics & Performance Management Software” which generates various MIS (Management Information System) reports to help you improve the Farm Profitability and Bird performance.
INVENTORY
Inventory Section
- Maintains the Master parameters of, suppliers, customers,
sale/purchase items, store and misc. expenses at farm.
- Generates various inventory reports required by the
accounts section.
- This also stores data of Feed production verses
purchase of ingredients and availability in store i.e.
balance stocks as on date.
- The reports to show the balance in stock of feed
ingredients, formulated feed, medicines vaccines etc.
at any given time.
- Each form has a provision to print the report.
- This section generates periodic and as on date reports
of stock movements from. Main store to different
sections and vise-versa , purchased, sales, etc.
FARM
C) Four to Five entries and ‘n’ number of Reports
The data required for generating a number of reports are the same i.e 4-5 entries, as currently maintained in the registers manually. Viz:, Mortality, culls/sold, Feed and Medication (if any) per day.
D) Vaccination, Deworming & Debeaking Schedule and Reminder
The software has a provision to store the vaccination, Deworming schedules and to remind you for the same 2 days before , on the due dates or till given in accordance to the vaccination schedule of the flock..
E) Cost per Bird vs. Return per Bird
At any time, Poult-Soft calculates for you the cost per bird and the return per bird in few seconds and that too with zero error. Thus helps in important “Decision Makings”--- whether to retain or sell the birds or to go in for heavy Selection / culling.
F) Standard vs. Actual Performance
The software has a provision for comparing the actual flock performance with the standard data of the respective breed. There is a provision to enter the breed standards by the user. The Graphical presentation is available..
G) Daily, Periodic, & Weekly Reports
Poult-Soft generates Daily, Periodic, and Weekly reports for single and multiple flocks giving almost every parameter you wanted. e.g: Op. Bal., Cl. Bal., Cum Mortality, Feed/Bird, B. Wt., FCR , FER etc.
H) Total Costing
At any stage, you can see the total investment per Bird/Flock or Multiple Flocks for feed, medicine, vaccination, overheads, etc
I) Farm At a glance.
It generates the summary report of major performance parameters like Mort.,T. Feed, B. Wt., Medications etc of one or all the flocks at the farm on any given date.
J) Sales , and Rates
Poult-Soft has the provision to sell the final products in different as dressed, live and cull birds. It gives details of total and avg. wt. of the birds sold and Avg. rate /kg on that date.
Gunny Bags, Manure, etc sold at farms are calculated under misc expense & income.
Calculates the average Sale Price for a particular period and the sale details by the respective purchaser.
K) Feeding
Poult-Soft has a provision to enter feed issued on daily weekly or any other day basis. The type of feed as per the category of the bird is shown by default.
L) Bird Transfer
Poult-Soft facilitates the bird transfer at any time from one shed to another, within the same flocks name /number.
M) Body Wt./ FCR - FER
While there is a provision to record body wt /flock on any dates, it also calculates the Avg. wt, FCR & FER on that date.
N) Overheads / Admin expenses
The overheads and administrative expenses are
calculated as per the expenses entered in each
selection at the farm during that period of growing phase.
Since the
overhead parameters and the number of birds are
variable factors, this privilege is given for the user
to enter on the basis of the total birds in that section as on that date for that month.
O) Edit in Daily Data Entry
User has the previlege to edit the daily entries even after save but before the sale entries.
FEED
P) Feed Formulation
Generates feed formula as per the standard requirements of the growing stage of the birds in the respective flocks.. All the ingredients available in the store in accordance with the purchases are shown by default. The screen displays the available and required nutrients in tabular form along with the cost while the formula is being developed.
There is also a provision to copy the feed formula from one flock to another flock.
Q) Feed Costing
The feed cost input parameter required in various reports is calculated on the basis of feed formulation or average cost of ingredients / formulated feeds purchased during that period.
R) Feed Analysis
Feed section of Poul-Soft not only assists you in making a formula of your choice but also guides you in making the correct formula by showing the std. Parameters required Vs actual availability and gives you a complete analysis report of the feed formula.
S) Feed Production
After the formula is made ,the software helps you in calculating the exact quantity of each ingredient required to mix-in to make particular quantum of formulated feed(FF).If an ingredient is not in stock as required, it gives an alert by highlighting that ingredient.
OTHERS
1) Data collection forms, to be used by supervising staff at farm, feed plant and the purchase department are inbuilt for printouts (Ref. Utilities).
2) Bird Transfer there is a provision to accommodate the bird transfer from shed to shed within the same flock number.
3) Data Back up : there is a provision in the software to take data back up as & when required on hard disk or on CD.
Note : The above features are for the package –3 of the Poult-soft broiler version which includes : Farm + Feed + Inventory. However the s/w is available in three packages.
Any other requirement not available in the soft Ware can be customized with additional cost.
