DigiVision from burster: Universal PC software for all electronic measuring devices
In the world of manufacturing and quality assurance the singular user faces the challenge to master a steadily growing variety of different software solutions for his workaday tasks. To simplify this complexity burster now presents its new PC software DigiVision for measurement operations with any of burster’s current digital displays or sensor interfaces. The new measuring data acquisition and configuration software also supports digital displays that have been purchased years ago. Instruments without interface board can be upgraded quickly and easily in order to use the powerful and reasonably priced evaluation and visualization tool.
DigiVision is characterized by its simple and clearly structured user interface. Its intuitive handling allows a fast and reliable implementation of the measuring mode. The user is given a comprehensive picture of his measuring operation through the well arranged and transparent display of the measurement process and measurement values for up to 32 measuring channels as well as further process and check information. Due to different trigger functions the measurement process can be organized individually and application-orientated. The combination of all device types permits a customized solution of measuring tasks involving already existing as well as prospective measurement electronics.
Important performance features are the automatic device recognition, the backup of instrument parameters and the archival storage of measuring data in Excel or raw data format. Essential traceability information, as i.e. serial number, production charge and further accompanying data are stored in measuring protocols. As the user can access the raw data in the form of text files, he is enabled to compile own plug-ins for their further processing.
Through the integrated control communication with a higher-ranking control via RS232 or Ethernet the measurement can not only be started and stopped but also documentation data can be scanned and transferred. Thus i.e. it is possible to check if serial numbers have been correctly transmitted to DigiVision. Therefore DigiVision can be smoothly embedded into the automated production process for measuring data acquisition and archiving tasks. An Internet update service always provides the current software version.
