EDHEC BUSINESS SCHOOL ADMISSIONS PHILOSOPHY

Candidates to the EDHEC Business School Master of Science Programmes should keep in mind that admission decisions are made on the basis of the applicant’s overall profile as reflected in the completed application form.

Successful MSc candidates come from a wide range of education backgrounds and experiences. They also display distinguished academic excellence, strong analytical skills, interpersonal competencies, international awareness, have proven motivation to undertake the programme, the capacity to make significant contributions to EDHEC Business School’s learning environment, and the potential to succeed as professionals, managers and leaders in the related field of study.

The Selection Committee relies heavily on profiles, motivation letters, recommendation letters, and CVs.

Please complete each application section carefully and devote the time needed to write a motivation letter (profile sheet 8) that provides a true image of your personality and academic and career objectives.

This is essential to permit the Selection Committee to make a fair assessment of your candidacy for EDHEC Business School Master of Science Programmes. Please note that applications must be completed in ENGLISH. However, recommendation letters can be written in English or French.

Although academic ability is an important factor for success in our programmes, EDHEC Business School does not count exclusively on academic aptitude testing scores as part of its selection process. GMAT or GRE test scores are required, but are only one of the many criteria taken into consideration.Scores are valid for up to 3 years. If you have not yet taken the GMAT or GRE you are advised to do so as soon as possible. If you have taken the GMATs multiple times, your highest score will be considered.

You can submit your application if the rest of the fields are completed, and you are only missing your GMAT or GRE scores. If you have not yet taken the GMAT or GRE please indicate when you intend to take the GMAT or GRE and submit proof of registration for the exam.

Only with proof of registration for the exam will the Selection Committee make a provisional decision conditional to your future score.

Fluency in English is required for applying to EDHEC Business School’s programmes. Therefore, certificates or test scores that demonstrate applicant’s English ability are needed for admission. We accept TOEFL, TOIEC, and IELTS tests. Tests are valid for two years.

English Proficiency Test Waivers are granted to native-English speakers and candidates with previous experience of study or profession in English. Waivers will only be granted if work experience in an English speaking country accumulates to a minimum 2 years and must have occurred within the last 5 years.
