Post of: FULL TIME AIRPORT DUTY MANAGER

Reporting to:SENIOR AIRPORT DUTY MANAGER / HEAD OF TERMINAL SERVICES AND SECURITY OPERATIONS

Hours:40 HOURS PER WEEK(FULL TIME)

SHIFT BASIS COVERING 24HRS

  1. MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
  1. The position is within the Airports Operations Team is to primarily facilitate and monitor successful delivery of each departments agreed service levels and to provide accurate and essential information.
  2. To be the main Airport representative out of normal working hours covering 24/7
  3. The post holder is responsible for assisting the SADM in the effective operational delivery of the Customer Service Policy.
  4. The post holder is also the Airports representative in relation to any operational or customer service issues that may arise which cannot be resolved through concessionaires, airlines or any other third parties out of normal working hours.
  5. The post holder is responsible for measuring performance in compliance within key areas of the business including Security, Apron Activity, Handling Agents and regulatory bodies and any other service providers and contracts as required.
  1. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Understand the complexities of the Terminal environment ensuring that information which influences the passenger experience is communicated effectively and accurately with Management, reporting to the SDM and advising the HTSSO.
  2. Facilitate the monitoring of information, ensuring all defects are reported abd accounted for, so to ensure the continuous provision of accurate and up to date information.
  3. Support the SADM in the application of their duties within the Terminal Buildings highlighting any specific information which may support the requirement for operational support.
  4. To monitor differing functions and processes delivered by other companies and to record such data accurately using the formats and methods provided.
  5. The post holder is responsible for the administration of the lost property function, ensuring this is run effectively.
  6. Participation in the Emergency Evacuation procedures and to participate in Emergency incidents as dictated within the emergency procedures.
  7. To respond immediately in Emergency incidents to the MACC to commence opening of Silver Command until a Senior Manager is on site.
  8. Demonstrate an understanding of passenger flows, monitoring and checking both proactively and reactively that the services and facilities meet the expectations of customers and business partners alike.
  9. Support the SADM in all measurements of key performance indicators, service level agreements, to ensure that Terminal standards and customer expectations are met.
  10. Deliver a high level of customer service at all times through the management of customer focused systems.
  11. To announce as required information via CWL public announcement systems regarding flight boarding status and or other essential information.
  12. To ensure a high level of customer service at all times by promoting and facilitating effective communications with all parties.
  13. To assist where necessary with arrangements and planning for Special Events, Royal Flights, VIPs and other commercially important customers and events.
  14. Provide First Aid treatment when required to internal staff and public.
  15. To summarise effectively key operational issues at Operations Team Meetings
  16. To act upon any issues that impact upon Health and safety of staff and the general public and to record accidents and incidents using the SARMS reporting system.
  17. To participate as directed within the Winter Operations plan.
  18. To update and maintain a daily log of incidents and occurrences within the Mission Mode communications system.
  19. To compile and distribute a daily summary of key incidents and occurrences to the appropriate CWL company staff and management to summarise and cover all aspects of terminal functions.
  20. To decision make on approving idle engine running out of hours adhering to CWL environmental procedure regarding Engine Running.
  21. To act as an Airport Threat Assessor (Upon completion of training)
