SUMMARY OF JOB

Nightstop prevents youth homelessness through community hosting offering16 to 25 year olds a safe place to sleep by placing them in trained and vetted volunteer’s homes.

Working under the direction and support of the Nightstop Network Manager you will be part of a team supporting the award winning Nightstop network. The network comprises of 30 youth or housing organisations, who as members of the Nightstop network, comply with the Nightstop Quality Standard.

You will be responsible for a caseload of Nightstop services across the UK, who, under the guidance of the Network Manager you will support and develop to ensure a high quality service is delivered to young people and volunteers.

The NetworkOfficer is pivotal to the success of Nightstop across the UK, and an integral part of Nightstop’s Strategy. The Network Officer is the operational contact with Nightstop services who provide a valuable service to young people in need of accommodation. The role will involve carrying out Depaul’s commitment to successfully grow and develop a Nightstop network. The scope of the role will involve the following responsibilities:

Key Deliverables

  1. Provide regular support to your caseload, through 6 monthly visits, ensuring services are meeting the Nightstop quality standard.
  2. Report any performance issues or concerns to the Nightstop Manager, through detailed reports and action plans
  3. Support the Nightstop Network Manager to quality assess every Nightstop service every two years and follow-up on any actions identified to ensure quality improvement
  4. Update, and write Nightstop materials based on feedback from the network,
  5. Provide accurate data and reports on the performance of the Nightstop network.
  6. Collect accurate and timely data from the Nightstop network.
  7. Write and collate high quality case studies, news items and presentations on the network
  8. Lead on Nightstop service engagement including day to day contact, requests for support and resources
  9. To respond to volunteer enquiries in a timely manner
  10. Contribute content to the Nightstop website and social media
  11. Contribute to the regular Nightstop Network newsletter
  12. Develop and deliver training package and events for the Nightstop network on relevant issues and topics.
  13. Develop effective regional partnerships with external agencies that will enhance your caseload’s delivery
  14. To identify policy and practice issues at local level with implications for national development
  15. Ensure the network complies with Depaul’s policy for reporting of Risk Assessments (RA) Accident and Safeguarding, Incident and Near Miss forms
  16. Ensuring Safeguarding procedures are followed and managed appropriately, reportingany relevant issues in accordance with project procedures in a timely manner.
  17. Work with the Communications Co-ordinator to identify, develop and facilitate media relationships contributing to a wide range of internal and external national and local media activity
  18. Any other duties commensurate with the role
