GENERAL INFORMATION

This form is to be used to apply for a Merchant Scholarship. The Merchant Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to University of NorthernIowa alumni to pursue full-time graduate education at any accredited post-baccalaureate graduate or professional school.

To be considered for this scholarship a student must have received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa. Eligibility extends to individuals who graduate within six months after the March 1 due date of this form. A student must also be enrolled (by the fall semester after the scholarship is awarded) full-time at any accredited post-baccalaureate graduate or professional school of their choice, either domestic or foreign.

Applications (including mailed materials) must be on file by March 1 prior to the academic year for which the scholarship is to be granted. No applications will be considered if received after March 1. Scholarships will be awarded shortly after July 30, through the Financial Aid Office of the recipient’s Graduate educational institution.
