Some supervision of junior research staff
Job Purpose:
To undertake research in accordance with the specified research project under the supervision of the award holder.
Key Accountabilities/Primary Responsibilities:
1.To develop and carry out research activities to focusing on the analysis of the methylome in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and splenic marginal zone lymphoma.
2.Carry out administrative tasks associated with specified research funding, e.g. risk assessment of research activities, organisation of project meetings and documentation. Implementation of procedures required to ensure accurate and timely formal reporting and financial control.
3.Coordinating the research workload with international collaborators, including accessing samples, reporting data and accessing external analytical processes.
4.Assisting in the preparation of publication materials for referred journals, presenting results at conferences, and/or exhibiting work at other appropriate events.
5.Contribute to the writing of bids for research funding.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
Undergraduate degree and PhD in Biological Sciences or equivalent
Knowledge of molecular and/or cellular biology
Experience of DNA methylation processing and analysis using microarray techniques or NGS technology
Experience of handling large data sets, including sample and data tracking
Experience of FACS purification for cell subsets / 
