Grocery Stores & Convenience Stores – measures for comparing grocery vs. convenience stores, and neighborhoods
> This will involve:
1)Comparisons between prices at grocery vs. convenience stores, average price of item across grocery stores vs. average price of item at convenience stores, within a neighborhood. Comparisons of all items are possible, but this is the only price indicator for fruits & vegetables. Different scoring systems can be tried: can be higher/lower/equal, +/- certain amount (cents), or ratio (10:8 [or 1.25] low fat vs. regular product)
2)Aggregate prices for healthier options in high vs. low SES neighborhoods. Done separately for grocery stores and convenience stores. Done by item.
