Position Summary: Directs manufacturing operations through a team of functional managers and front line supervisors. Ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide leadership and vision to the organization by assisting the Board and staff with the development of long-range and annual plans, and with the evaluation and reporting of progress of plans.
  • Manage P&L and budget to ensure profitability and achievement of strategic financial goals.
  • Oversee preparation of an Annual Report summarizing status of company in regards to short and long-range plans.
  • Oversee preparation of annual budget.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of production and quality control data and records.
  • Responsible for ensuring high safety standards throughout facility.
  • Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.
  • Monitor and improve key processes.
  • Manages policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and plant performance measures.
  • Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations, long-term success, and daily operational metrics and processes.
  • Direct production personnel to ensure compliance with quality control standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain general oversight and ensure accuracy of A/P, A/R, inventory, etc.

Nonessential Functions:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by VP, Operations.

  • Must have demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Must possess strong financial acumen and the ability to read, understand and analyze financial reports.
  • Ability to develop a clear vision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally, with senior management, subordinates, customers, and the general public.
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate a computer and general office equipment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office and ability to learn and use various software programs.

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; prefer MBA.
  • Minimum of ten years of supervisory/management experience required.

Special Position Requirements:

  • Work hours may vary as business needs dictate.
  • Occasional work may be required on weekends, evenings, or holidays.
  • Periodic travel required, to corporate headquarters for quarterly meetings & to other sites as needed.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Requires sitting, standing and walking throughout facility. Sitting comprises approximately 75% of the work day. Requires ability to communicate with others in-person and on telephone. Manual dexterity needed for using computer keyboard and calculator. Requires the occasional lifting of objects up to 15 lbs. When rounding in warehouse area, may be exposed to heat, cold, dusty and noisy environment. Must have adequate vision to operate computer and complete paperwork.Must be able and willing to work flexible hours to meet customer and organization needs.
