Position Duties: The person who holds this position will teach Auditing, Intermediate, and Introductory
accounting courses each semester. In addition to teaching duties, this person will be expected to conduct research and publish, hold office hours, advise students, and provide service to the School of Business and the university.
This position is a nine-month appointment (August-May) at the rank of Assistant or Associate with an expected starting date of August 2013.
The School of Business is accredited by the AACSB International and offers B.S. degrees
in accounting, finance, management, marketing, and general business. A general MBA
is offered. Current School of Business enrollment is approximately 840 students of which about 200 are accounting majors.
Position Qualifications: Applicants must have an earned doctorate or be A.B.D. in accounting. Teaching experience, including online teaching, is required. Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or CIA) is preferred. Applicants must also demonstrate an ability to engage
In research which results in publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Salary: Competitive; summer teaching may be available.

Special Instructions/ Shreveport is located in northwest Louisiana on the west bank of the Red River
Notifications: approximately 190 miles east of Dallas, Texas and 220 miles north of the Gulf of
Mexico. The population of the metropolitan area (including Bossier City, home of
Barksdale Air Force Base) is approximately 399,000. The area offers many of the
recreational and cultural benefits of a large city with the convenience of a small town.
The LSUS campus is located in a desirable part of Shreveport that offers excellent
shopping, dining and entertainment options. Housing prices are moderate and
there are a number of attractive neighborhoods located in close proximity to the
campus.
