JOB PURPOSE:To provide operational assistance for hospitality, events and building maintenance

RESPONSIBLE FOR:Casual Events Staff

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. To support the management team in organising, set up and management of theatre and non theatre events.
  1. To ensure that all service areas including public, staff and artists spaces, are clean and safe at all times with additional responsibilities including legionella testing, fire alarm tests and other alarm system tests
  1. To help create a welcoming environment within the Mechanics, promoting good relations between customers and hirers and provide a high level of customer care at all times.
  1. To act as part of the Hospitality team as an event supervisor in ensuring the security of customers and visiting artists as well as the contents of the theatre.
  1. To support the Bar and Catering Manager inrestocking of bars, confectionary and ice creams, float allocation and cashing up and stock control.
  1. To assist in the set up and set down of events including tidying away tables and chairs, (this may include heaving lifting) and rubbish disposal in line with our recycling and health and safety policies.
  1. To be a designated key-holder on the rota and therefore be responsible for building security including opening and closing of premises, setting alarms, securing rooms when not in use, ensuring the public vacates the premises in a proper manner and reporting any suspected unauthorised access or activity.
  1. To undertake such other duties as may be assigned from time to time

commensurate with the grading and particular skills of the post holder.
