POSITION:Leadership and Development Partner

RESPONSIBLE TO:Head of Learning and Development (HLD)

ROLE PURPOSE: To facilitate, support and drive a development culture that is owned by our leaders and individuals. Build strong collaborative relationships throughout the organisation by providing professional Learning and Organisational Development guidance, advice, opportunity and interventions that strengthen our people capabilities to deliver our mission, purpose and strategic aims. Lead on the learning agenda in your area of responsibility by developing an agreed approach that drives a leader led learning culture by championing personal development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate, share knowledge, best practise and expertise with a range of stakeholders in pursuit of organisational aims and strategy.
  • Contribute to the wider HR / L&D and organisational strategy including leading on, managing or contributing to a variety of L&D / Operational projects and solutions.
  • Challenge, support and develop the leadership capability of all levels of the organisation from executives to entry level roles via the most relevant and suitable approaches including, coaching, facilitation, action learning etc.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships that demonstrate an understanding of the business need and ensure any intervention(s) are followed through to meet and deliver on agreed expectations.
  • Identify relevant modern, fit for purpose solutions that fit and meet the organisations needs within agreed budget.
  • Able to anticipate and understand short, medium and long-term organisational, department, team and individual development needs
  • Design, deliver / facilitate and evaluate and range of modern innovative L&D / OD interventions
  • To identify where external support is preferable and then source, commission and evaluate results.
  • Apply up to date methodologies and best practise to ensure that any L&D / OD needs are effectively met.
  • Work closely with HR colleagues to support HR business partner model and ensure ‘one team – one message’ approach.
  • Remain up to date with organisation strategy at all times to evaluate the challenges, progress and adaptations required to LD strategy.
  • Contribute to the wider wellbeing of the organisation by making the Legion a better place to work wherever possible.
