The Arc of Chester County is looking for a dynamic, creative, team player to join it’s Children’s Early Learning Services/Programs Department. You would be joining a team of dedicated, compassionate, experienced and fun early childhood and early intervention specialists.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Responsible for overall management and evaluation of educational programming for the Children’s Early Learning programs and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.  Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, supervising and evaluating the teaching staff (teachers and support staff), nurses and contracted personnel in the Children’s Early Learning Services/Programs

2.  Development and implementation of curriculum in alignment with the PA Learning Standards for all Children’s Early Learning Services/Programs.

3.  Function as liaison with all funding and referral sources and other community agencies as needed and represent agency at public forums, meetings and community activities.

4.  Ensure team approach, monitor and evaluate appropriate teaching techniques, outcome/goal development, data collection, design and implement curriculum, staff trainings, and programs in accordance with contract requirements, regulations and agency policy and procedures.

5.  Serve as a single point of contact with IU service coordinators and transportation coordinators in order to provide transportation information schedule IEP meetings, conduct tours, and ensure quality of IEP and report documentation.

6.  Act as liaison between home, school and community, including special events, parent communications, and community inclusion opportunities.

REQUIRMENTS:

1.  Bachelor's degree education, early childhood preferred.

2.  Master’s Degree in Special Education.

3.  Minimum five (5) years direct program experience in community based program for children and/or developmental disabilities; minimum two (2) years supervisory experience. Experience in special education a must.

4.  PA Criminal, Child Abuse and FBI clearance

5.  Current PA Teaching Certification in Special Education, Pre-K – 4 or equivalent.
