Role Overview:
The Payment Support Officer will process service claims and invoice payments within the SAP system in accordance with CSIRO policy and provide basic advice on procurement policy and application, payment processing and alternatives. As a member of the Payment Support Centre team (previously known as the Procure to Pay Service Centre), the Payment Support Officer will assist with vendor management, reporting and reconciliations tasks.
This is a job share role. There are two positions available: one for 2 days per week, and the other for 3 days per week. Working days are negotiable for the right candidates.
Duties and Key Result Areas:
·  Deliver customer service and timely processing of service requests.
·  Meet set standards for service claim processing including:
o  On time, accurate processing of service claims.
o  Adherence to delegation levels, Enterprise policy and local procedures.
·  Provide professional basic advice on procurement policy and application, payment processing and alternatives.
·  Under controlled limits, assist the creation of new vendors and overall vendor maintenance.
·  Under direction, assist with quality review and verification of data and system processing.
·  Contribute to team relationships and business improvement, including:
o  Contribute to “One-CSIRO” values and behaviours.
o  Maintain positive working relationships with team.
o  Proactively contribute to innovations, process improvement, training, meetings and group activities.
·  Under direction, assist with reporting, reconciliation, administrative and filing tasks as required.
·  Communicate effectively and respectfully with all staff, clients and suppliers in the interests of good business practice, collaboration and enhancement of CSIRO’s reputation.
·  Work as part of an often regionally dispersed team, to carry out administrative tasks and provide support under the direction of senior administrative staff.
·  Work collaboratively with colleagues within your team, the business unit and across CSIRO, to reach objectives.
·  Provide instruction and assist other staff to complete allocated tasks and activities, as required.
·  Provide instruction on activities pertaining to the immediate work area and responsibilities, as required.
·  Generate improved solutions in work situations, trying creative ways to deal with routine problems and opportunities.

Selection Criteria:
Under CSIRO policy only those who meet all essential criteria can be appointed
Essential Criteria:
1.  Demonstrated ability and experience to deliver customer service and continual improvement in service delivery.
2.  Previous accounts payable experience with demonstrated ability to process service requests, service claims and invoice payment.
3.  Good oral and written communication skills which includes the ability to listen, interpret and convey information and ideas in a clear, accurate manner and establish effective interpersonal relationships with a wide variety of people.
4.  The ability to show initiative and work effectively in a team, positively contributing to the team environment.
5.  Excellent time management skills
6.  High level of accuracy, attention to detail and problem solving skills in a financial information context.
Desirable Criteria:
1.  Sound understanding of procurement principles, and purchasing & supply contract requirements.
2.  Experience with SAP or another large ERP system in a previous position.
3.  Flexible working days, with the willingness and ability to cover both scheduled and short notice periods of leave.
