PositionSummary:
TheClinical ProgramManagerisresponsible forplanning,organizing,coordinating,andsupervisingadministrative andclinicalactivities in supportofthe Children'sReceivingHome (CRH) mental health andsocialworkprograms.The ClinicalProgramManager must plan,prioritize,supervise,andreviewtheworkofassignedclinicalstaff. He/shewill alsoestablishand implementoperationaland/or clinical processes,methods,andproceduresin supportoftheassignedprogramandto function as aproactiveandpositiveteamleader.
EssentialDuties andResponsibilities:
ClinicalProgramAdministration
- Implementclinicalprogramconsistentwith theover-all agencytreatment philosophyandwithinprofessionalperimetersforbestpractices.
- Plan,organize,manage,andcoordinatetheoperational,administrative,andclinicalactivities in supportofthementalhealthandsocialworkprograms.
- Participate inthedevelopment andimplementationoftheassignedprogram’smission, goals,andobjectives.
- Reviewandevaluate operationsandactivitiesof assignedprogram on acontinual basis.
- Oversee andparticipate intreatment planningand/or casemanagementmeetingandactivities.
- Oversee,coordinate,andparticipate in client evaluations,programadmissions,anddischargeplanningfor theassignedprogram.
- Ensure promptandappropriate attentionto crisismanagementissues.
- Provide ClinicalSupervision.
PersonnelandQualityManagement
- Supervisesandsupportstheclinical staffperformingdirectcare to clientsandfamilies.
- Assistsstaffwithidentificationofindividualskill or knowledge deficits andfacilitateavailabilityoflearningopportunitiesand develop andadministeraplanfordevelopment.
- Adhere topolicies,proceduresandregulationsofthe Children’sReceivingHome andMentalHealthcontract.
- Ensure orientationandtrainingfornewstaffandsubsequentlyensure staff isenrolled in and/or havecompletedrequiredtraining.
- Oversee staff, providingthenecessaryand appropriatecounseling or disciplinaryaction in accordancewith agencypolicies,consultingwith the Director ofClinicalServicesandHumanResourceswhenmajordisciplinaryaction is needed.
- Overseesandparticipate in theinterviewingand hiring process,ensuringcompliance withall agencyand regulatorypolicies,practicesandlaws.
- Oversee staff schedules ensuringovertimeusage stayswithinbudget.
- Responsiblefor thecollection,review, approval and submissionof directreports’timesheets.
- Ensure completionand routingof allrequiredoriginalpersonnelandtrainingformsandrecordstotheHumanResourcesandTrainingDepartmentsrespectively.
- Conduct timelyperformance evaluationsfor directreportsaswell asmonitoringtimelinessof allperformance evaluations.
- Participate inAgency-widequalitymanagementeffortsandplanning.
- Model,trainto,andsupport theprinciplesandpractices ofqualitymanagement.
- Create andmaintain afocus on outcomesforassignedprogram.
- Responsiblefor maintaining costcontrolactivities to stayon targetwithannualbudget. Receivesmonthlydepartmentalfinancialreportsandprepares corrective action planfor anymajor variances.
AdministrationandProgramDevelopment
- Provide leadershipand support totheprogramplanninganddevelopmentfunctionsfor assignedclinicalprogramconsistentwithspecific professionalexpertise.
- Participate inthedevelopment andimplementationof divisionalandagency-wide policiesandprocedures.
- Establishandmaintain avarietyofrecordkeeping anddocumentationprocessesandsystemsforassignedclinical programs.
- Actasliaisonbetween the clinicalteamand otheragencyprograms, communityorganization, outsideresources,and existingandpotentialclientbase.
- Ensuresthatcommunicationchannels areopenandflowing;discusswith the appropriateresidentialandsupportservicesstaff member(s); regardingclients’ activities,behaviors, andinter-relatedprogramoperations.
- Workswith theProgramManagersandTrainingManager to implementclinicaldepartmentgoals andprogramobjectives.
Other
- Attendexternalmeetings in compliance with mental healthcontractrequirementsandkeepcurrentwithmentalhealthdepartmentpoliciesandprocedures.Presentinformationgatheredatexternalmeetingstoclinicalteam.
- Prepare reportsas necessarytofundingagentsandtheChildren'sReceivingHome.
- Facilitate weeklyclinicalteammeetingsandinternal utilization reviews.
- Attendexternaltraining/conferencestomeet licensingrequirementsandkeepupto datewith currentinformationanddevelopments.
- Presentinformationgatheredatconferencesatclinicalmeetingsandstaffinservices/trainingasappropriate.
- Performotherdutiesasassigned.
SupervisoryResponsibilities:
Directlysupervisesandsupports assigned Clinical or MentalHealthStaff.
Qualifications:
Toperformthisjobsuccessfully,anindividualmustbeabletoperformeachessentialdutysatisfactorily.Therequirementslistedbelowarerepresentativeoftheknowledge,skill,and/orabilityrequired.Abilitytoworkvariedhoursincludingnights,weekendsandholidays.Reasonableaccommodationsmaybemadetoenableindividualswithdisabilities toperform theessentialfunctions.
Education/Experience:
- A graduate degree in psychology, social work,counseling,childdevelopment, or relatedfield isrequired.
- Possessionofavalid CaliforniaLCSW,MFTorPsychologyLicense is required.
- Threeyears’experience in aclinicaland/orresidentialsettingworkingwithchildren isrequired.
- Oneyearexperienceas a supervisoris required.
Licenses,Certifications,Registrations:
- Mustpossess avalid California Driver’sLicense.
- Must be atleast 21 yearsofage.
- MustpassFirstAidcertificationcoursebeforestartofemployment.CertificationcanbecompletedthroughtheChildren’sReceivingHome.
- MustpassCPRwithinthefirstsixweeksofemployment
- MustpassBloodbornePathogensandTherapeuticCrisisIntervention(TCI)certificationcoursesofferedthroughtheChildren’sReceivingHomewithinthefirstthreemonthsofemployment.
- Must maintainTCI,CPR,First AidandBBP Certificationthroughout employment.
- Must complete online MandatedReporter Trainingwithinfirstweek of employment.
Knowledge,Skills andOtherAbilities:
- Competent in MicrosoftOffice Suite andwebbrowsers.
