Position: Adjunct Nursing Education Clinical Instructor (Psych/Mental Health)

Location: Murphy Campus – Waco, GA

Department: School of Nursing

Reports to: Dean, School of Nursing

FLSA Designation: Non-exempt

Nature of duties: Under direction of the ADN Program Director or Course Coordinator, supervises and evaluates students’ progress in attaining classroom and clinical goals and objectives. Maintains standards of National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) and Georgia Board of Nursing requirements as appropriate. Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the clinical area. Clinical supervision and evaluation of students in a Psych/Mental Health facility or equivalent experience. Maintains clinical expertise. Attends professional development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences. Position may require project assignments as well as day/evening clinical assignment with students. Willingness to travel to clinical agencies is a must.

Minimum Qualifications:

·  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a regionally accredited institution

·  Current Georgia license as a Registered Nurse (or Georgia eligible)

·  Three years of full-time Registered Nursing experience

·  Nursing education experience in Psych/Mental Health Nursing

·  Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse student population

·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

·  Minimum of one year prior teaching experience in Associate Degree Nursing
