ThetwoEagleEyeDigitalBreakoutAdapterscanbeusedtogethertoextendthedistancefromEagleEyeIV

camerastotheGroupSeriescodecs.

SettingupthePolycom®EagleEye™DigitalBreakoutAdapter

RealPresenceDigitalBrkout,Camera:

• UsethesuppliedPolycompowersupply(partnumber1465-52748-040).

• VerifythepolarityofthepowersupplyasshownontheDBAnexttothepowersupplyinput.

• UsewithHDCIPolycomEagleEyeIVCameraCable.Either2457-64356-001(3m);2457-64356-100(1m),or

2457-64356-018(457mm).

• UsewithcertifiedHDMIcompliantcable.

• UsewithcertifiedEIA/TIA-RS-232cable.Usestraight-throughtype,notcrossover.

• Donothotplugtheserialcable.DisconnectingorconnectingtheRS-232cableduringoperationmaycauseunexpectedsystembehavior.Ifthishappens,cyclethepowertothecodecorcameratoeliminatethisissue.

• ThesignalqualityisdependentonthequalityoftheHDMIandserialsignalsattheoutputoftheDBAandassociatedcables,ifthematingdevicehasanequalizer,andtheelectricalnoiseintheinstalledenvironment.Toensureproperoperationwithalldevices,theHDMIandEIA/TIA-RS-232specsshouldbemetattheinputtoallmatingdevices.
