1 / The results of the 2009 FCAT Math Assessment indicated that 74% of all students in grades 3-8 scored at achievement level 3 or higher. This represents an increase of 7% points compared to 67% who achieved mastery in 2008.
Needs Assessment: Further analysis of the clusters showed that students in grade 3 increased in two strands while remaining the same in number sense, measurement and algebraic thinking. Grade 4 and 5 students increased in number sense while remaining the same in the other strands. Students 6, decreased in Data Analysis and students in grade 7 decreased in Geometry.
Additionally, 70% of students grades 3-8 made learning gains in math, and,
62% of students in the lowest 25% made learning gains in math as well.
