The address of the website is . The website contains two major sections. A first section provides general information on J.Van Breda & C° International. A second section is personalised and in this case restricted to the UNIDO/UNOV staff and their insured dependants. This section contains specific information on the UNIDO/UNOV contract.
General section of the website
The first general section introduces our company, shows career opportunities, offers contact modes and gives a short description on how to use the website. On the homepage, click on the button of the desired subject. The title of the tab shown is highlighted. Navigation between the different tabs is possible by clicking on the tab titles. The title of the document viewed on the right-hand side of the screen is highlighted in the margin on the left-hand side of the screen. To view another document within the same tab, click on the title of the desired document on the left-hand side of the screen. At any point in the website you can return to the homepage by clicking the company logo at the top or the home link at the bottom of the screen.
Access to personalised section of the website
After clicking on the button “Personal Access” on the homepage, the “Restricted Access” page appears. To access this second UNIDO/UNOV specific section of the website, the staff member needs to log in. This log-in consists of the Van Breda affiliation number (this is the six digit number on your grounds pass) preceded by 013 being the organisation number of UNIDO/UNOV. As password the staff member’s date of birth should be used. Any dependant of the staff member should use the affiliation number (which is the same for the whole family of the staff member) and the staff member’s date of birth (not his/her own date of birth). The date of birth will be encrypted and appear as stars “*”.
Personalised section of the website
The personalised section provides specific information concerning the UNIDO/UNOV contract. The title of the tab shown is highlighted. Navigation between the different tabs is possible by clicking on the tab titles. The title of the document viewed on the right-hand side of the screen is highlighted in the margin on the left-hand side of the screen. To view another document within the same tab, click on the title of the document on the left-hand side of the screen. At any point in the website you can return to the homepage by clicking the company logo “J.Van Breda & C° International” at the top or the home link at the bottom of the screen. Your comments on the format and / or the user friendliness of the website are more than welcome and can be mailed directly by clicking on the Reactions link at the bottom of the screen.

Coverage tab
Describes the benefits covered under your insurance plan as well as the non-reimbursable items (exclusions). Interesting information on cost containment issues and frequently asked questions are also included.
Direct Billing tab
Describes the process of direct billing in case of an in-patient hospitalisation.
Claims tab
Describes the process of submitting and reimbursing claims.
Forms tab
Provides the possibility to view and print forms using the free software Acrobat Reader. This software can be obtained by using the Acrobat Reader link to access the related website.
The following forms are available:
•Claim forms FMIP and SMIP: can be used for submission of claims
•Estimate form: can be used in case of direct billing of in-patient hospitalisation
•Dental Estimate form: can be used for estimating dental costs
The forms can be filled out by the insured persons in the language of their preference.
Contacts tab
Provides information on the contact persons in your organisation and J.Van Breda & C° International. By clicking on the names, information on how to contact the person is given (telephone number, fax, address, and e-mail) as well as an indication of the type of questions that the contact person will be able to address.
Provider list tab
Enables the insured to look for various types of medical providers around the world, using our international provider database. This database represents a selection of providers most frequently visited by Van Breda insured. Nearly all hospitals in this database accept direct billing, and some apply preferential rates for our insured. Nevertheless, for a smooth admission to the hospital, we advise you to always contact J.Van Breda & C° International well in advance if a scheduled hospitalisation is to take place, so that we can make all the necessary administrative arrangements for you. In case of an urgent admission, you (or one of your family members) may also contact us as soon as possible. For more information on the provider list functionality, click on the question mark button at the bottom of the screen.
The search module works as follows:
- Select the desired continent and country. Click on the arrow
- Fill in one or more of the search criteria mentioned below and click on the arrow
•Location of the medical provider
•Type of provider (hospital, doctor, laboratory, ...)
•Medical speciality (allergology, burn centre, cardiology, ...)
•Name or part of the name of the medical provider
- Select one of the medical providers from the list. The detailed information available on the provider will be shown, e.g. the full name, the address, the telephone and fax numbers, the e-mail address, the website, the number of beds, a list of doctors (if available) and specialities.
As an example, you live in Austria and suffer from gastroenterology. You know a good medical provider for this, but you forgot the exact name. It was something with “Privat”. By filling the following criteria you will obtain the information you need:
- In the first screen fill in Europe and Austria
- In the second screen fill in “gastroenterology” as speciality and “privat“ in the name of the medical provider. You click on the button contains as you are not sure that the name of the medical provider exactly starts with “privat”
- From the list you recognise the third medical provider “Wiener Privatklinik”
- In the detailed information, you can find the exact address and telephone number. You can even mail directly to the hospital by clicking on the e-mail address.
