Hi Priya,

I have spoken to Susan who confirmed that the only information that will be different will be the wording. We will be able to accept the cheques however please take note of the below.

cheque R1343-21, the safest and accepted method of writing the amount in words is:

“One thousand three hundred and forty three Rand twenty one cents”,

and not

“One three four three Rand two one cents”

Should you wish to continue writing cheques as “One three four three Rand two one cents” , the Bank will not accept responsibility for any alterations to or insertions in such cheques.

Should you have further questions please forward them to Sujatha. I have ccd her for ease of reference.

We are in the process of implementing a new payroll system – CRS.

There is going to be a printing difference in which the new system will print payroll cheques.

Kindly confirm if the printing change below will be accepted by Standard Bank.

CRS (new system ) will print as follow:

ONE FIVE THREE THREE 45

VIP (Old system ) prints as follow:

ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY THREE RAND FOURTY FIVE CENT
